Id very much say the tree is not dead. The only BRs it will struggle at is between 6.3 and 7.7, 8.3/8.7 and top tier. It has a lot of viable lineups, where its lights are well assisted by most of the time decent CAS.

But yea I’m still tad annoyed they left out lower tier, but I can understand that as then it gives people the choice to grind the sub tree now and grind it quicker or wait till the whole sub is out.

We first have to agree and define what c&p is, otherwise the discussion is meaningless. What I see is a lot of people talking about c&p, but I don’t see a consensus on this concept (some talk about c&p like apples and others like oranges). We must organize the discussion or we will never understand why apples will never be oranges, even if they argue about it for 100 years.
In my opinion, c&p is an exact copy of a vehicle existing in another technology tree, which does not offer a new experience when playing it, compared to the original. Visual modifications or slight modifications, such as adding a .50 caliber or mine protection to a tank or napalm bombs to a plane that already has other types of bombs, I do not consider significant enough to alter my experience playing that vehicle.
Having given my definition of c&p, I don’t mind c&p, as long as it is implemented as a reinforcement of unique things, in the lineups.
What happens is that Gaijin has taken c&p to new levels. The problem is not Finland and Hungary, the problem is the blatant way they were implemented, with excessive and unnecessary c&p and practically nothing unique (Finland’s most original vehicle arrived as events…).

The reason it doesn’t have a low tier is because that’s the one bit that won’t be copy and paste, so it’s not ready.
apparently sep 1 is already effected @WaretaGarasu seems to have compared it and one of the changes is that the era does activate on 25-40mm rounds. Honestly only skipped over what he meaned
Gaijin likes the easy way out and C&P is just that. Something we try to warn people but they all think only sub-trees are the way to go.
People who have problems with Finland and Hungary will find it only gets worse the more ST you add. (why even have TTs at that point? If everyone has everything thru sub-nations)
So many ground vheicles that Italy could get…The Arjun, VT-1, Challenger 2, K2 Black Panthers, Sabrahs. Those would be so fitting for Italy.

well no to the ariete, they are proven to be propably the worst western mbt, its one of the main reasons italy is switching to leopard 2a8s as well and giving up on the ariete programm besides trying to keep them at least a tiny bit updated so they dont need to replace their whole fleet
If they did it like this to keep the grind shorter they would have left some of the vehicles out for now.
The subtree would work without the MiG-29 and with just the 21-Bis OR the 23MF. Hungary built and used some german planes, which could have been added without any more effort than any one of the other planes they chose

To me, gameplay matters very little as I play the Sherman II very differently from the M4A1 as the nation I’m playing dictates how I play it.

Well just using something I got from another nation is C&P.
So something like the Grizzly tank would be C&P to you but it’s not to me. It’s the brother of a M4A1(twin or not).

There is no need for an alternative for the MiG-29 and the 21-Bis or 23MF. Italy would be fine without the 29 and with just one new 11.0 for now.
So now it’s went from C&P to need issues righ
But I do agree with the Mig 21MF I would like that to be a premium though
The hungarian subtree is going to be extremely C&P-heavy no matter which vehicles they choose. The current selection of planes just reeks of low-effort, it almost feels like they couldn’t even be bothered to look up what planes hungary used before WW2 ended
You just gotta google for “hungarian planes ww2” and you will find a list on wikipedia which consists of mostly very easy copy paste opportunities
I get that you wouldn’t want to exhaust all your options at once, but really? They couldn’t have put in the time to choose one plane for rank 1, 2 and 3 each?

I would love to see the He 112 again as the one I got in the German tree is very special to me.
As it was the last Christmas present that my grandad gave me be for he went the November after.
But yea I just can’t think of a reason why they would do this other than don’t full the update with Hungarian things.
