All vehicles have glaring turret weak spots otherwise we’d have an unfun hull down cupola sniping nightmare.
Like it or not, it’s a relatively consistently applied intentional choice to ahistorically introduce weaknesses where non existed specifically to try and make the game more playable.
And then there is T-90M plastered with Kontack brick that will for sure eat any APFSDS you shoot at it…even the normal weak spot will be hard to get for sure.
of course they get new up armored leopard, they need it, if not how can they fight equally to the german leopard with only 2 up armoured leopard + 2a6 vs germany 3 non up armoured leopard with a whole 34mm more flat pen and 1 unconfirmed yet up armored leopard with a whole 34mm more flat pen(exclude 2a6)
/s for safety
disclaimer: i don’t hate that sweden get another up armored leopard, i play than nation too, it just funny that germany, the nation who build leopard, up until now(still unconfirmed officially) always get the worse leopard than sweden
I don’t think the T-90M will be that problematic. It isn’t mobile at all compared to all other new MBTs and the breach and LFP will likely remain a weakspot.
The SEPv2 depending on what ammo and armor it gets might just lack too much in both to really compete with the 2A7V and Strv 122B+.
The Challenger II LEP lacks too much in every regard to really compete, lets be honest here, but if it gets a round like DM73 it might at least have a single saving grace (besides looking cool that is).
To be fair, there is nothing else that Sweden could get as those are the only version that they used. If you look at germany they have the “base” version and then like 3-4 modification of that version.
Well we will see how T-90M will be. All we can do is specualte. Nothing else. Same with Gripen. In teaser they showed it with only 9L but IRL it could carry pretty much any NATO standard weaponry.
Because it would be the most powerful tank. It would push the envelope. You will notice the new T-90M is basically going to be a faster and marginally better protected T-90A, a tank so bad it sunk in BR and is a threat to nobody.
Players in many situations avoid shooting for the small turret weak spots and aim for the larger hull weak spots when possible, also maybe for the ammunition, engine, crew and other goodies.
It seems to me abundantly clear the decisions about which tanks and which modules is an attempt to progress a bit but without too much leapfrogging.
