I am kinda astonished by the fact that there’s so many people angry just because the teaser didn’t show specifically what they wanted to see.
Like… come on, teasers don’t even show 30% of the upcoming content most of the times and tomorrow we got more dev blogs, a dev stream and a dev server!

Except in SB… BVR still plays a big part. But when you are dodging 4x R-27ERs from Su-27 and Aim-9Ms and aim-7M from F-15s and you only have Aim-9L… Its a fairly one side fight.
Just hope the radar in the Gripen allows for good off-boresight

its more the fact I doubt they would leave ARH missile out of the trailer and then they dont show a uk aircraft and everything they did show was on the leak list besides a single french AA, so we are most likely getting a gripen with only AIM-9Ls

Mech radar was definitely better than Saphir. By how much? Not easy to quantify, but it had a larger array so it had better range for sure.
Late production Su-27S’s could actually guide two SARH’s at the same time, so it does have that advantage over the Saphir too. The Su-30 and the Su-27SM is when the radar starts getting very competitive.
Would be better than the absolutely nothign we’ve had for the past 9 months.
