Looking at the dev stream, I noticed it mentions “Get an early look at the new F-15 variants” So that might mean we’re getting more than one? I’m hoping for a F-15C with AMRAAM and they just weren’t ready for the trailer, but maybe that means the other nations might be getting theirs as well?

Honestly the more I think about it the less it would suprise me if this happened. Now keep in mind I don’t think rhis is needed, and I’m not asking for it. This is just me theorizing.
F-15J for Japan, upgraded F-15A for Israel and F-15A and C for the US. In this case the F-15A would have the slightly lesser A2A weapons but have CAS, while the C variant would be the main one to compete against the Su-27. Exactly like what happened in apex.
It didn’t make sense to me that they were adding an Su-27 with 6×ER + 4×R-73 while showing it’s main counterpart with 4×AIM-7F/M + 4×AIM-9L. Just like it didn’t make sense that they showed the MiG-29A back during apex with R-27 and R-73 while only having AIM-9L.
Of course we now know apex ended up being mostly the MiG-29 vs the ADF, which wasn’t revealed in the trailer. Now I’m wondering if this is also the case for the F-15.
Of course this is probably 99% bullshit, and I don’t mind, I’m happy as long as they give either the 15A or hypothetical C AIM-9M to compete with the Su-27. I just wanted to throw this out there.
