Despite us having our issues with Gajin copy and pasting premiums, and heavily favoring some nations here and there. I’ve started to get bored and looked at the tech tree and figured, “why the gap between 9.0 to 10.0 for us AA tech tree?” I then got an idea, the M3A3 Bradley is a 9.7, so why not include the M6A2 Bradley “Linebacker” into the tech tree, it receives all the benefits of the Bradley but slightly better for AA purposes. It keeps the 25mm (with some testing replacing it with a 30mm) and replaces the TOW for 4 Stinger FIM-92 Surface to Air missiles with 10 additional ones located in the rear like the TOWs. It isn’t meant to really change much but I feel like with the Bradley being pretty good as a base platform and been fielded before, it would make a great transition before going to straight missiles.
Would also like to add it might even fit better in that spot due to the LAV-AD getting 8x of the same rockets just a small debuff to 4x with the trade off of better armor and better AT possibility due to its autocannon.
What gap? The m247 is more than enogh
LAV AD can equip Hydra rockets, gotten a few kills with those ;P
By the way, The M6 linebacker can also carry AIM-9X’s
Even if they don’t add a Linebacker in they could also add the M2A3 ODSE or M2A3 BUSK variant. The ODSE basically getting the Engineer Package with a Dozer or the BUSK variant which has ERA, and technically any A2+ variant has the ability to gain ERA. I know this because it’s something we learned about in gunnery and our M2A3s are capable of holding ERA blocks we would just have to install brackets for them.
