M61 shot has less pen for non APHE version

As seen in the attached screenshots, the solid shot version of M61 has slightly less pen than the APHE version, of course, this is pedantic but War Thunder is pedantic the game. Surely solid shot would have more pen than APHE? Also wouldn’t the solid shot travel faster due to less weight in the round (given they have the same amount of propellant launching them)?

It has. It’s just that Gaijin decided to use a penetration formula for all the shells and to this day they haven’t figured out how to properly use it.
