Its not really viable at its BR, hull down position maybe but
This thing has 0 armor aside from the turret, basically 0 mobility
Yes ik it has m829a1 but its just die when seen because unlike abrams turret ring which is already under perform the turret neck of this thing pop out like a sore thumb which make u sometimes cant even hull down(the turret neck is also modeled wrong-Community Bug Reporting System)
But 120S historically were only given 750hp engine
No actually the full package of it were given the General Dynamics Land Systems AVDS-1790-9 diesel developing 1,200 hp (890 kW) and Allison X-1100-5 series automatic transmission and an upgraded suspension to help with the increase of power/weight ratio
Quote "The upgraded suspension coupled with the improved power-to-weight ratio gives a faster speed across country and a more stable firing platform as well as a better ride for the crew.
If required by the customer, the torsion bars could be replaced by hydropneumatic units for improved cross-country ride as well as saving some space inside of the hull.
The upper part of the suspension is fitted with new ballistic skirts and new sponsons are provided for additional storage such as batteries and, if required by the user, additional diesel fuel. These sponsons give a much smoother outline.
The fully functional prototype of the 120S retains the standard M60 series power pack consisting of a General Dynamics Land Systems AVDS-1790 series diesel engine developing 750 bhp.
It is envisioned that production vehicles would have the more powerful General Dynamics Land Systems AVDS-1790-9 diesel developing 1,200 hp. This would be coupled to the Allison X-1100-5 series automatic transmission and M1A1 final drives.
This engine has already been produced in production quantities for the now BAE Systems, Ground Systems Division (previously United Defense) M88A2 armoured recovery vehicle and the Merkava Mk 3 MBT. General Dynamics Land Systems will offer the AVDS series engine with or without the digital electronic fuel-control system."
Also noted the engine deck was modified from the start so it could be given the 1200hp engine if needed
With it being said it would give the 120S around the speed of the A1/A2 or if for balance issue around sub 62-65 and reverse of ~30

It would help the 120S alot
But wouldnt it be unbalance? No, generally the 120S if it was given the 1200hp engine will make it balance, due to it trade off the very weak hull armor of the m60 and given it also slower than the TTS
If it was to be balance Gajin could remove the m829a1 round and replace it with KE-W or slightly slower the reload speed of the 120S by 0.1-0.3 sec because the internal of it is a bit cramped
Lemme know what you think

Iirc the M60 was going to get the 1200hp but the engine bay needed to be redesigned in order to fit the larger engine. The Turkish M60 AMBT has a 1200hp engine but iirc that engine is much newer than the one that was planned to go in the M60. If im wrong please do correct me. Thats just what i remember.
The 120S was redesign from the start to be able to fit the particular 1200hp engine hence the use of upgraded engine
You arent wrong just missing key details
I didn’t think the current hull could support it. I just remembered they planned to increase the engine bay size to hold the engine.
So you want M60 120S brought up to BR 10.7… based on a feeling?
The M60 120S we have in-game doesn’t have the engine bay size to fit a 1200HP engine, it would need to be redesigned which would make it a fictional 120S. The 120S we have in-game doesn’t have the engine bay increase.
At this point im not sure are u special or what(sorry) but i have stated that the 120S engine bay was redesigned to be fitted with a 1200hp from the start
The prototype was 750hp BUT IN A MODIFIED(MODIFIED NOT MODIFY) 1200hp engine bay thus the 1200hp engine
Its the same chasis as the M60 AMBT but with a better transmission
You havent even read my info yet and u make claims
I’m a bit confused, the engine bay was increased to fit the newer engine but did they ever replace the old engine?
They did when they were produced
It start as a prototype with a modified engine bay with the 750hp
When the other nations(customers) buy them they were produced and shipped with a full 1200hp power pack

I see, by chance do you have official reports, manuals and of that sorts? If so, you should make a bug report on it.

I did the bug report
They said “you need sources of it being installed”
how the fuck would i know if the only info is that it was being made to fit the 1200hp engine and the buyers of the m60-120s and modified with the 1200hp engine is private
do i fucking need sikrit documents or what???

That’s kinda the issue with bug reporting in general (at least with more modern vehicles). Unless you have an official document being extremely explicit, then they most likely will not accept it. And if there’s no information on a certain aspect of the vehicle, they will “logically” assume which is why a lot of modern vehicles are scuffed.
The burden is not up to them to prove they are right, it’s up to you to prove they are wrong. Yeah it sucks and the only thing it does is ruin the credibility of the moderators but it is what it is.
Honestly the M60-2000 would’ve been a much better addition than the 120s. There’s really no reason to pick it over the Stryker. Yeah you good an excellent gun, but you sacrifice on mobility/armor and by a lot. Being hull down helps but if it takes you 2-3 business days to reach that location what’s even the point?
Yeah like bug report manager are(im not gonna say it) more densed than tungsten, they have no common sense when doing their jobs and their “logical explaination” are basically “yes you are right but we dont care”
I swear the bug report system is more shit than shit itself
They read it and just immediately say no
But also when they say yes to the sources they just leaves it there to rot
