M5A1 missing an M2 Browning .50cal?

I originally saved this image because I love the idea of a tank with shin-destroyers, however I just realized that this guy has a .50cal ontop of it.

This is a modification, the M5A1 Stuart may have the M1919 7,62 mm light machine gun or the absent of this, I think this specific vehicle was produced late on the war.

Or they just put the machine gun on top to make it look cooler.

I always thought the M5A1 was a lil too similar to the previous Stuart models. Giving it a .50cal could be a great way to make it more unique.
