M56 Bug

I’ve attached four images of a 1.7 second duration incident where my M56 was unable to operate its gun after having the driver and commander killed by an autocannon. I was waiting for the SPAA to round the obstacle before firing a HEATFS round. They sprayed my driver side (gunner left healthy until the fourth image) which apparently disabled control of my gun, meaning I couldn’t fire my round. In the replay, it marks only the driver as incapacitated, meaning the game recognizes that the gunner is still intact. This also isn’t the first time that the M56’s gun has stopped working after having the driver and/or commander killed.

First image is right when the SPAA begins spraying my M56.
Second is when the driver is killed.
Third is when the commander shows as killed (from my in-game view).
Fourth is when my vehicle is totaled.

Did your breach break?

Pretty sure it has to do with the “agility” crew skill which is how long it takes for a crew member to react and swap out the dead one

The Agility explanation is plausible only if the game is entering a crew-replacement state, but it does not by itself prove that a living gunner should lose gun control. The M56 has a three-person crew, and its vehicle guide notes that the gunner also serves as the loader; the crew-skills page describes Agility as affecting replacement speed.

The most useful inconsistency here is that the client view shows driver and commander casualties while the replay records only the driver. Please provide the server replay and exact timestamp, and note:

  • whether the breech was damaged;
  • the gunner’s status (green, yellow or red);
  • whether the weapon became usable after the approximately 1.7-second delay.

A controlled Test Drive check—driver killed alone, commander killed alone, then both—would separate crew replacement from a damage-model or state issue. If the gun remains unusable with a healthy gunner and intact breech, that would support a focused issue report.

The breech remained untouched throughout the 1.7 seconds. Thanks for asking.

Want to clear this over first: I’m not that tech savvy.
Can’t upload the replay file itself (forums doesn’t accept .wrpl files). Is there another way you’d prefer for me to send the replay? For now, I can give the replay timestamps, name of replay, and session ID (if it helps).
The timestamps are 5:05.524 and 6:05.527 (I use one-minute increments). The time of the incident is ~5:55.000. Name of replay is #2026.08.24 16.25.27.wrpl (Normandy Domination). Session is 7211750001152a1.

Notes: The breech was left untouched throughout the incident. The gunner’s status was grey; wasn’t black until just after the timestamp in the fourth image I uploaded. The gunner wasn’t injured after the autocannon sprayed the driver side. My M56 was totaled at the 1.7-second mark. I did have a small window shortly before the 1.7-second mark to fire a HEAT round into the SPAA (until I discovered loss of control to the gun).

In the meantime, I’ll attempt to recreate the same situation. I’m not sure what you meant by Test Drive. There is no way (that I know of) to test incoming fire in Test Drive. Highest likelihood of reproducing this situation would be for me to go into PvP battles.
