M55 Self-Propelled Howitzer

This is the fourm

Well I guess it’s probably in soon. While I’m happy that this vehicle made it in, I’m not happy that it’s just going to be another M44 as it seems the M55s will all be the same variant, unlike the M109 which had the base, G (which technically can be split into two due both in-game M109Gs having different MGs), and A1.

+1 ig.

Personally i would rather have something that a nation operated than nothing at all.

The fact that that argument is valid for this game is just sad. It’s also not a good idea to let such arguments to take hold, as it lowers the bar for gaijin to continue to under-deliver, rather than improve to meet a higher standard that is closer to what we expect, without all the sloppy paste.

Surprisingly, no. Considering all the public appearances in parades and the amount of photos and angles available once you actually look into it, it seems like a rather easy vehicle to make a suggestion on.

you know some copy-and-paste vehicle are unique compared to the original ones.

Sure. I think it would be a very good stepup from these 155mm autoloader howitzers, it would be great as a high tier 4 vehicle/low tier 5 vehicle, however i still wait for VK-16.02 Leopard to get added into game
if someone don’t know it’s german prototype light tank/recon tank with 15-50mm of armor and a sd.kfz 234/1 puma turret with 50mm cannon and arround 60 km/h mobility, it would be sitting arround 3.7-4.3 br i think

it 203mm

They should’ve fixed overpressure before adding more SPH, and especially copy-paste SPH, but I’ve learned that one shouldn’t expect nice things from Gaijin

M44 got added and M55 is getting added soon, just wanted to point that out

120 seconds reload? İt should max 40 seconds

A 203mm round is pretty heavy.

Though it went matter what it says here since in game its somewhere around ~40 seconds (i don’t recall at the moment)

23kg of explosive in 4.0, lovely
Reminder smth like the Brummbar, with much less mobility, has 6kg of explosive and is a .3 BR higher.

The Brummbär has decent armor, on the other hand. The M55 only have 12.7mm armor, which only protects it from rifle-caliber MG fire.

You mean 4 work (grinds) for 1 vehicle.
Its like the Devs don’t play their own game and assume players only ever go down one tech tree…

It can be easy find that i said it 9 momths ago, that is not a SOON

CLEARLY NO.
they just watch the data sheets to do the game balance

f you genuinely want to recommend vehicles unique to a certain country, you could ask the players online. I believe many of them would offer plenty of suggestions, rather than you blindly searching on your own. With every update, American and Soviet vehicles are placed on almost every tech tree, which really makes the game uninteresting to play. If every country’s tech tree is the same, what’s the point of having so many different nations? Almost every update introduces twice as many new American and Soviet vehicles compared to other countries, which shows that the game developers are dedicating most of their time and effort to these two nations.
