I honestly have no idea what is the point of this tank and it looks so out of place side-by-side with WW2 tanks at that same BR. It serves no purpose
It has a 203 mm gun with enough explosive power to level a three-story building, yet you can hit the front of a light tank and only disable the transmission and kill the driver. It also has a 30-second reload, 10 rounds of ammunition, and no armor.
Lineup depth and giving several tech trees access to the artillery mechanic without having to model several unique SPHs at once. This way, the famous ones can come one at a time and be a headline addition to individual updates.
Drip feed content industry works in predictable ways. If you understand the incentives, the rest is fairly straightforward.
No more so than the SdKfz 234/2 time travelling back to the past and fighting earlier WW2 vehicles I would say. Game is fully anachronistic anyway.
The nerf to all HE shells in terms of radius is so bizarre. It should be reverted.
Yeah it’s very defensive. You’re like a KV-2, except you’re trading armour for very good mobility and a slightly less enormous profile.
I didn’t think the M55 would be as mobile as it is. Have had a bunch of funny situations of driving around buildings and obstacles to evade enemies as I reload:
Not like the FV4005, where you ain’t going anywhere fast.
4.0 - you lot are drinking far tooooo much!! 5.0 minimum, even 6.0 with that kind of gun and reload speed. AND its far too quick!
ESPECIALLY with the damage output of that 1 hit wonder!!!
DO YOU REALLLLLLY believe its on par with a BT7 F32.!!! Derrr click!"
It’s China. It’s all China. Also at least unlike the m44 your crew isn’t outside the tank. I don’t see why gaijin has to add this to every country, the US already has enough tank destroyers
Dunno, I don’t like it. Reload is too long and the shell isn’t doing alot damage. It almost like a naval artillery gun, but when you hit a t-34 into the side it just damages the tracks. You need to hit specific spots or periscopes on top of the turret. Hatches or cupolas. It not very conviniant. Probably just interesting for youtubers. Also wounder why a bomb of similar HE size always kills with a 100% destruction radius, while this shell just fails.
No, not really, this picture was the clearest on the internet.
This is an inscription from the 20th Artillery Battalion (20A): La prériode d'après guerre inside of the First Division of the 3rd Artillery Battalion (3A) (the 3A was restructured into the 20A in 1969). I believe it’s referencing the 1914-1918 campaign, as listing their battles is common among units in the 1940s-1950s.
Thanks for the reply brother, I had found this picture of Nanesse on facebook a while back. It’s easier to read but it has printing artifacts. I’ve now also asked in that group if anyone knows what it says
I do think it would be good sitll, even at 5.0. You really need a maxed our range finding crew to use it correctly, but at 4.0 its redundant and probably frustrating to play against.
203mm or 1000kg bomb - still can be blocked by 1 pixel thanks to Gaijin’s explosion pathfinding starting from a point.
You hit some turret irregularity, and nothing happens, because there’s no LOS between blastwave and hull roof (ven though it’s evident that the actual HE charge has such LOS and explodes centimeters away!)
Shells in game are volumetric, but explosions being more complex than a sphere starting from a point is too much too ask.
People have been getting gaijined by this for years. And will continue to do so, because player frustration is being actively monetized.
And please note: 203mm is the main caliber of a heavy cruiser. Over 20kg of explosives in the shell, leaving a huge hole in real life, and all the trees within a 30-meter radius are bare. But in this game, when you hit a T-34 in the front of the turret, you “hit” it. The gun doesn’t break, the turret traverse mechanism doesn’t jam, the crew doesn’t suffer second-degree concussion, nothing at all, just boom and that’s it.
