What is the difference between M4A3E8 (Easy Eight) and M4A2(76)w? I can’t really see any difference other than the HVSS system, slightly wider track and slightly more poweful engine, there is not different when I using both vehicle in the game, but why the easy eight is 5.7 and the M4A2(76)w is 5.3?
It does have better acceleration, APCR (which is kinda useless) and additional armor as tracks

But they all quite useless isn’t? The higher top speed of M4A2(76)w can see as the trade off of the acceleration, and the additional armor is also quite useless at that BR and not saying that Japan version even didn’t got the additional armor
As I remember M4A2 was 5.7 too, and it went down to 5.3. I guess these 2 things is enough for Gaijin to give it higher BR
No, it isn’t. Facing Tiger and facing King Tiger with 76mm is 2 different situation
You misunderstood me. I meant by this: this is fine for Gaijin, but not players.
Even that I still don’t understand, putting it on 5.7 won’t give any benifit to them
I have a theory that the difference between the M4A2 76 and M4A3E8 is player experience.
At 5.7 the Easy 8 is.a choice for most players, to me it’s like the panther G or the Panther F (players can easily skip the vehicle if they didn’t enjoy the previous versions of the vehicle).
Building on the above, the E8 is a more stable firinng platform which makes a big difference in the hands of a skilled player. Being able to lay your gun faster allows them to explout more opportunities to shoot and kill where they would otherwise have to wait for a safer opportunity, additionally the best suspension and acceleration make the tank more reactive when you are caught out of position and need to rush a shot.
I think these elements create a enough of a statistical difference to separate the E8 from the M4A2 76W.
My argument does fall apart when you consider that the M51 and M4 T26E 90mm shermans exist and the diffirence that 90mm or 105mm guns make.
With this in mind, if they ever kit Israel out with Rank 1, 2, and 3 vehicles. I can easily see the M51 finding its way to 6.7

They should both be 5.0 imo

HVSS, has more/better armor and hull structure IIRC.
