Just wanted to get people’s perspectives on the M46’s addon armoured cage. Does anyone find it to be useful? I personally think it gives the tank a huge silhouette and makes it easier to spot so I don’t use it.
Has anyone noticed it stopping Heat Shells, or providing protection from HE?
Yes and no, it’s a mid term between usefulness and uselessness. You still find some cannons that still fires Kinetic rounds, and few others Chemical rounds,
But since it only covers the turret, anyone who’s shooting Chemical will know that the best option is shooting the chassis, the same applies to Fragmentation rounds the Patton and Pershing tanks has a major problem with the chassis crew ports, those specific spots are weak, and tend to make overpressure easier.
I don’t like it because it looks ugly so I don’t use it
