M4-3a-8r

Anyone think this should be added to the US tech tree? I believe it’s the M4-3A-85 flame thrower variant.

Hell yeah, Frankenstein’s tank!

Btw this is a normal M4A1 with a flame thrower mounted coaxially with the main gun, instead of the mg port, like it was usually done.

Good old COH memories…

The serial number on it is unfortunately fictional and it doesn’t seem like anyone knows the history of why a small-hatch M4A1 was converted, other than that it was likely not made in Hawaii like the other POA-CWS-H5 were as indicated by the flame tube not matching other Hawaiian conversions, which should just be one solid tube without any “sleeve” like this one has, and the “overflow pipe” being in the location where it would be for an M42B1 rather than a POA-CWS-H5. It’s likely just some weird conversion that they decided to make before setting it up on its the podium, so it’s debatable if this was ever actually a functional conversion or not, or if it’s just an M42B1 playing dressup.

The actual POA-CWS-H5 are cooler, anyway. They also come in 75-mm and 105-mm flavors. :)
