While I am a moderator, I’m not actually here to take action, this area is outside of my purview. I’m just here to drop in a friendly reminder cause I saw the conversation drifting to a way that incongruent with forum rules.
your position is purely politically biased and has to do with you and your countries personal beliefs. you and I are well aware of the caveats of the united nations ruling. things are this way for a reason, and it is not because taiwan isnt legit.
war thunder, and politics, are SEPERATED. any opinion against taiwan or thailand in the subject of vehicles is purely political, and thus, invalid towards any real opinion or gaijin decision making. player opinion matters more, and that is why there is no vt4 in thailand subtree yet. chinese playerbase has made it very difficult. but it will come. just give it time
So its not toxic to use “Imperial Germany” and “Russian Empire” but toxic to use “Imperial Japan” and “Repubic of China”? Or its not toxic how i can set USSR to Columbia, or to have US set to ?
Wow so its only toxic if its disliked by china?
Exactly why the chinese politics are followed, right? Good thing to do if youre not political, to stick to some politics.
When the ROC Army Flag was available, it was still called “China”.
But it wasnt awaliable on release. And still not avaliable. Im okay with naming it China if the flag can be applied. Its what the “no politics” choice would be as both claim itsel china.
I propose removing all vehicles from TAIWAN REGION. In turn, Japan should remove all vehicles from Southeast Asian countries and never add the VT4.
so, where we move them?
This means that vehicles put into service after the start of the Cold War will be completely removed from the game, while the nations separated from Japan will form the new ASEAN or the Pan-Asian tech tree.
Nah.
I much prefer how it is now.
Especially since it’d make Israel larger than 3 tech trees.
No? that subtree brings us at least three cool unique machines. The best M48 is also there.
So we can theoretically put those “Removed techs” to that pan-asian tree?
You know, im a big fond of that idea now.
I would love to keep things as they are, but since some people insist on changing the status quo, why not let them change it more thoroughly?
China is the best and least controversial name that gaijin can add. Both PRC and ROC have China in their name, so it perfectly represents both sides. But Gaijin should add the ROC flag in the flag selection menu.
ROC is not a sub tree of China. It’s a part of the main tree.
You know the PRC means CHINA and the so called ROC also means CHINA,they are all CHINA.So Gaijin believes that there is no relationship of a subtree and a main tree between the two; both are entities in the game while also complementing each other. The reason for constructing a Pan-Asian tech tree is that those independent Southeast Asian countries do not have enough vehicles to form their own individual tech trees.
them dont have many unique vehicles EVEN TOGETHER. Their machinery is 90% copypaste with a different name.
But still that does not answer the question?
If we are about to move Taiwan from China, we need to send those at least three unique tanks somwhere. Why not be a Pan-Asian tree, to make it less about copypaste?
They certainly don’t have enough of what you call unique vehicles, but obviously what you consider unique and what Gaijin considers unique are not the same. If Gaijin’s standards were applied, the tanks of all Southeast Asian countries would be more than enough, or even leave some with no place to go.
nah i think they are pretty close, tho Gaijin just does not do uniques. They are okay to have 2 unique machines in a tree and then an entire copypaste (hello finland and hungary).
They were about uniques at the south african subtree at best.
The vehicles of these small and medium-sized countries are all like this—essentially, they either slightly upgrade or downgrade chassis purchased from major powers and make limited modifications to the exterior.
I suggest you look up the tech tree concept images previously created by players for ASEAN countries. The number of vehicles in those concepts far exceeds that in the current tech trees of some major real-world nations.
