M1A2T Controversy

this is not a good argument considering gaijin recognizes taiwan lol, or else there wouldnt be an ROC flag at all

It could be a prototype or trial version that I’m unaware of. Without a detailed history, it’s hard to say which version it is.

One thing I do know, is the VT-4 in China is not a representation of the Thai VT-4.
The Thai VT-4 has some changes to it, at least externally.

The VT-4A1 is closer to how the Thai VT-4 should be [without the APS and maybe some other things] than the VT-4 in China currently is.
So prototype/trial version is something that’s possible with the one in the Chinese tech tree.

  1. Add the VT4 to the Thai subtree in the Japanese tech tree. As Thailand operates the VT4, it only makes sense that they should have it in game. - This is my reply to that request. By the way, I’m not saying China must have the M1A2, but addingthe VT4 to Japan could be extremely controversial/offensive to Chinese players.

ur just gatekeeping lol the vt4 isnt even anything to write home about. china built it as an export tank and now you dont want an export buyer to receive it?

and adding the M1A2T to China could be extremely controversial/offensive to American players.

Whether it is or not, everything dependson the Gaijin, not you and me. I just listed the reasons and explained why Taiwan and Thailand are different in the Chinese players’ view.

chinese player views dont make any sense. gatekeeping in war thunder is a very very strange thing to do. there are vehicles shared over many many tech trees

chinese community summarized states that export tank shall not go to other tree bc uhh idk its offensive even if they operate it and use it

Once again, let me be clear: First, I am not saying China must get the M1A2. Second, unless you want to say that Gaijin admits Taiwan and China are two separate countries, then as long as Gaijin decides to add Taiwan and allow its vehicles to exist in the Chinese tech tree, China will own the M1A2.

why does Thailand being a country mean that their subtree can’t get the VT4?

Are you suggesting that Gaijin should put vehicles from two genuinely hostile and both of them are independent nations into a single tech tree? That would be like putting the F-22 in the Chinese tech tree or the J-20 in the U.S. tech tree?Is this what you said?

gaijin’s take is neutral. BOTH are china. meaning taiwan is the real china, and so is mainland china.

do you mean that China and the USA aren’t hostile? cause that’s happening rn with the M1A2T going in the Chinese tree

“First, you need Gaijin to officially admit this, perhaps by issuing an announcement. Once again, I am simply presenting international law and explaining why Chinese players do not view these two nations as equal. I, and most players, do not know what bvvd is actually thinking. However, since the player who accused Gaijin of not adding the VT4 to the Japanese tech tree seems to have succeeded, I guess that if you have enough player suggestions, every Taiwan vehicle in the Chinese tech tree could be erased.”

why is there a need to officially admit anything? theres no state flags in game. theres no scottish sub tree, no bavarian premium. taiwan is represented as a nation in war thunder, not a PRC state. thailand is a more legitimate operator than china, as china doesnt even operate it. it was just designed there. gaijin doesnt make any official statements as the chinese community is a source of a lot of their profit and hurting their feelings hurts gaijin pockets

“I mean, the two nations are hostile, but the question is that Gaijin decided to add the M1A2, and the M1A2 is assigned to Taiwan, not the U.S. This is the core problem. If you argue it belongs to the U.S., the inclusion becomes meaningless. If you say it belongs to China, then the American players will complain. Alternatively, you could have Gaijin issue an official announcement—in which case, I could say that the situation is probably similar to Battlefield 4 in China.”

the chinese tree deserves to have the m1a2t. taiwan, a subtree for china, operates it. im glad another nation got an abrams. thailand, a sub tree, should also receive the mbt they operate. theres no difference.

You know, I have a bunch of stuff I wish I could say on this. But sadly I have to stay absolutely neutral on this. So I’ll just drop in a reminder for people. Please keep the issue non-political. There are genuine ways to address this issue without directly arguing for or against the sovereignty of Taiwan.

Ngl this whole sovereignty bs is kinda like if I was like “USA is part of britain muh I don’t care they hav a civil war muh” but okay sure

“Since the moderators have appeared, let me state this one last time: Unless you want to tell me that Gaijin issued an official announcement stating that the area T does not belong to Country C, or you want to claim that Thailand belongs to Japan, I think I have stated my position quite clearly, referencing United Nations law.”
