Honestly v3 is better than 2A7V. While the increase in armor isnt substantial, bringing the turret, ring, side composite, turret side, and LFP thickness higher made it a good chunk better. The breach is also a lot smaller vs previous Abrams. Most people have learned where to shoot on pretty much all top tier tanks, so might as well take Abrams’ better mobility/shells/shell selection/reload/utility/etc.

Im mixed on this, i agree the new abrams with armor changes are great but only 3 got the new armor so theres no point IMO to play the SEPv1 and SEPv2 ROSY.
I wanna know where these good abrams players are. Still getting most my games lost because of 1 death leavers premiumbrams.
And also, still getting frontally lolled penned by the bmpt most the time - its crazy how the second my turrent ring or basket goes I can’t raise or lower my gun ever.
Which is funny enough still too low for the expected threats the USA designed TUSK II for

I mean the difference in warthunder really is marginal, not like gen 1 to 2
forgetting it’s got M829A2 as a stock shell? which also is marginally worse than the Dm53 out of the L/55 caliber cannon.
The l/44 the M28AXs rounds are better.

The leopard 2s for germany after thsi patch are pretty pointless to play, 2RI is there now, got them in the french tree, and ofc the objectively better 2A7 in the italian tree.
Also not really again, the mobility on the abrams is leaps and bounds ahead of the 2A7.
Generally it comes into the same thing as russian MBTs, they have more protection thus are more forgiving, but realistically the abrams for a player with more skill will reward them more than a 2A7 will. Or a 122 for that matter.
i mean going by how the stomping shoes on the other foot we will see hwo they implement it xD
Ariete / italian winrates have always been high at top tier, it’s not really a basis for much. The firepower on the 11.7 arietes is insanely nice to use.
That’s when it comes to skill over tanks though, there are far fewer bad players playing minor nations compared to the sheer volume on the big 3 specifically USA.

Never said they where bad, but the new armor should go to all M1A1s and M1A2s not just 3 of them.
Yes tusk is peak now, but remeber this is only for tusk ii, so not for m1a2 sep, only sep v2, sep v2 trophy and sep v3
So pretty much the values it had before the release of the major update.

before that it was pretty reliable against most atgms including kh38

Bmpt missile? No? I can count plenty of times i died from it.
before the update you could survive from moderately angled hits
It had about 800mm protection from the BMPT missile before the update as well, identical to current values.

See how the CE protection is identical? Don’t mind the green cross, 9M119M1 (T-90M ATGM) has 850mm pen vs the 800mm pen of the 9M120-1 (BMPT ATGM).
