M1A2C Abrams: Heavy Cavalry!

Added thermal sight, better armor in the turret, with a slightly worse round.

I can agree the TROPHY is alot of fun to play against terminators.

Not a single game in which i saw it pen K5

And the SEPv3 just dumpsters any T-series.

I have been lol penning K5 with my M829A3 like no tomorrow.

First doesn’t matter to me personally, where is the extra armor located though?

Its mostly volumetric RnG half the time.

The turret, the M1A2 is entirely different than the M1A1s in relation to the armor layout. The HC or heavy common adds armor but its added armor not NERA or extra composite which makes it worse.

Problem is that balancing should actually be done arpund the agregate average and removing the extreme statistical outliers on either end of the curve.

So the BEST and the WORST shouldn’t be counted - only the average. Basing your battle rstings arpund what is probably 10 or less percent of the player base makes zero sense.

Also jsut got the sep v3… and bmpt auto cannon send a half secpnd burst right through taking out my breach and ring? So… kind of a let down so far lol.

I mean even if we remove those outliers the winrates would still be high. Take the june 2026 winrate for the SEPv3, it’s wild for a major nation MBT.

When the BMPT was pulling such figures a lot of people were screaming murder.

Strange. I have fought a bunch of MBTs and haven’t been particularly careful around them (on purpose) yet they have hardly penetrsted me frontally.

However I might have been lucky or something.

The 12.0 Abrams before the update where literally equal in every aspect to the SEP and SEPV2, with the only exception being the thermals.

Even now M829A2 is the third best APFSDS in game and they get it stock.

It’s criminal how the 12.0 Abrams are at their BR while tanks like the Oplot, Ariete and TKX(P) are the same or higher

Well, some of these are issues with gaijin over tiering these vehicles.

And part of it is a minority player base who is better than the average american fan - so the differences in performance is an issue.

This is why I said choosinf BR based off of all player performance is bad. In statistics, we cut out the top and bottom percentiles on either end of the bell curve. The most central data which represents the highest concentration of players would lead to better BR placement in general - there would still be issues because of the top players crushing… but they’re going to do that regardless.

So many of these vehicles you listed are placed in a bad BR to begin with - and as such the BR of the abrams would be less (not saying they still wouldn’t be) of an issue. We need BR decompt to 13.0 or 14.0 for GRB, and that would help too.

Right, but correlation doesn’t prove causality.

The higher skill players migrated back to US to try out the new vehicles/grind them out. So of course they played premiums with high RP modifiers. This skews the results and does not actually represent the average performance.

I don’t disagree that decent/aboce average players will have a better idea of whats good or not.

But that is NOT how you rationally make a decision. Statistically you take the average performance along the core bell curve - and exclude the top and bottom outliers.

I think the bigger issue here is that many nations need their armor/ammo overhauled, and due to their niche nature their MBTs are over tiered.

The other big issue is BR compression at 11.7 to 12.7 for GRB.

Fix those issues, and then re-evaluate vehicle performance using the correct statics and decide if the abrams need to move by more than .3 BR.

Not disagreeing with you - but I am trying to get you to consider other contirbuting factors to the stats for June that we can deduce when we compare those stats to prior months.

I’d also be interested in doing a comparison to performance stats for US mbts everytime a top teir tank was released for them. I would bet money that we see the same results, which would reinforce the idea that it’s a temporary migration of high skill players returning to grind out and spade the new tank.

Which again, those aren’t consistent players of US, and should be considered statistical outliers.

It doesn’t happen just for US MBTs, but for good and interesting MBTs released for any nation really. The Australian M1A2 and Leopard 2RI have also have really solid stats and have given a boost to top tier Britain and Japan, although a smaller boost than the US top tier stats got.

Hell I remember the Leopard 2 PSO and M1A2 SEP also both increase US and German winrates shortly after their respective releases, despite being no different to fight than their previously available models.

It mostly just depends what is available in the update and what the good players deem good and fun enough to grind. The T-90M (arena) is also a new MBT added this update, but since most of the good multi nation players know that the T-90M is mid/mediocre and boring, why should they grind it when there are better and more fun new vehicles to grind?

At least for me, I’m close to almost every one of the new top tier MBTs and when I saw the new T-90M I just simply thought “garbage, skip”. And I think I wasn’t the only one.

Totally balanced.
5 K/D average in sessions over past few months as well.

You repressent a small amount of the player base. You are a statistical outlier that exceeds the average by far.

The best and the worst are typixally removed when doing statistics.

Glad to see someone who knows how statistics work on this forum.

Exactly. I hated statistics but beat my head against it enough till I got it in college.

Companies use the exact same principles regardless of industry.

Statistical outliers are a thing, and you usually end up discarding tje top and bottom 10% of performers - or use a systems of weights to reduce their over all impact on the average.

The game is mostly played by average players - not these super bros zooming around with a whole squad of super war thunder bros thinking their opinion is ehat should dictate game balance.

In my experience if i play in squads my KD and WR go up thx to competent teamwork.

I believe the biggest thing that holds this game down is the average player is genuinely trash (at least at top tier).

I don’t think I’ll ever equip TUSK even under threat. It just seems so useless.
