M1A2C Abrams: Heavy Cavalry!

@Stona_WT

Does this mean that the M1A1 AIM in the American tech tree that is currently a squadron vehicle is getting moved, or will it be like a “Grant” situation, where the exact same model sits in two different tech trees?

Current is different from 20 years ago.

M829a4 would be more likely to actually do something against relict… but again, went into production 5 years before relict’s debut.

Then there’s Malchite which is even newer.

Since the GDP % of defense spending is much lower in European countries, I somehow doubt that an instant counter would be possible.

Be logical, not illogical.

Can the M3 Bradley get full APDS belts next update?

That’s not very true. Malachite was developed in the 2010s and debuted on the T-14 Armata…

Incorrect again. Relict was designed to counter A3, as A2 was designed to counter K-5.

K-5 < A2
Relict > A3
Malachite > A4

It’s a logical fallacy to develop something that would already be inert correct?
Hence if A3 was good enough for Relict, why develop A4?

Are you sure that Relikt is post M829A3? Because from what im seeing there are some conflicting reports from it being adopted in the mid 2000s and not the 2010s so before M829A3.

Because it was intended and still is to cover off the short range gap not filled by the M1111 MRM-KE GL-ATGM since it’s performance is intended to be at long range (out to 12km) performance can be further optimized

The T-90M Arena M really doesn’t add anything significant. It already has ERA, and likely Arena won’t change much.

Therefore it should just be a modification tbh.

Getting M2 allows for a quicker reverse and Arena M which is an improvement.

Abrams Sepv3 gets Trophy, improved armor, and a new shell.

All of which will provide a good bit benefits…

In all seriousness though, this argument of balance over realism has always been funny to me. Because if this was ever such the case, then we would never see broken vehicles in the game. The devs pick and choose when to apply this. They were never consistent to begin with.

So the M1A2C is the Sepv3
And the M1A2 Trophy HV is the Sepv2 with a Trophy APS?

Correct.

Is it just me? I don’t like the Abrams addition to GB. Its kind of a stretch. Its an US tank and GB has nothing to do with it. GB has its own tank line + indian T90. Next update they get a canadian Leopard ?? At the end you have all existing tank families in one watered down tech tree.

Ah my bad I misread what he said and mixed up my darts

I was confused about that part not a3

SEPv3 also doesn’t add anything significant in it’s current form. Hell the SEPv1 remains better than the SEPv3 as of now.

False in game. The M1A2 trophy this update is a SEPv2. SEPv3 on the dev does not get trophy.

Oh no, the already impenetrable turret cheeks became even more impenetrable.

And yes, the turret cheeks are currently the only parts of the SEPv3 with better armor.

Again false. The SEPv1, SEPv2 and SEPv2 trophy are all getting M829A3.

I can’t access the dev server, so there is no way for me to tell all of them are getting m829a3… also giving SEPV1 and maybe even Sep v2 feels unfair

I agree. It also means that they killed all hype for the SEPv3, besides it’s looks, in that single move.

It’s weight is still wrong and WiP (SEPv3 should be heavier). However if they fix it’s weight and leave it’s armor as is there will be no reason whatsoever to ever pick the SEPv3 over the SEPv1 if we are purely looking at performance.

All SEPs are getting M829A3 and it has fully replaced the M829A2. The only Abrams that now has access to the A2 is the M1A2
