I want the M1A2 SEP V3 in any way
listen, i don’t have anything in high tier but people have to stop complaining about balancing and claiming that “RuSsIaN bIaS”(aka skill issue) should be an excuse to prevent a vehicle from entering a game
So… where is this?
I’m still on full hopium/copium that we will see it next update, but it seems like Gaijin has become allergic to adding new top tier MBTs to the game.
It won’t be the next update but hopefully the U.S will get a new top tier spaa
This December update, it will officially be 1 year since the last top tier MBT was added. Hope the Snail changes that soon.
Technically the June update added the 2A7HU and november the 2A5/2A6NL, but I personally don’t count the latter as they are copy paste.
Regardless, it’s high time we get some new top tier MBTs in general.
I swear we already have the challenger 3 in game
we are speeding past the development of actual modern MBTs lol
once we reach M1A2 sep V3, leopard 2A8. T-14 we will have to wait for approx 5 years
We can still get some goofy cold war prototypes like the CATTB, for example, but after that, more waiting.
I still hope to see Sep v4. It was built. The Army just decided not to introduce it. A last M1A2 Abrams with LWS and gen 3 thermals would be nice.
Australia has started taking deliveries of M1A2 sep v3, in an interview one of our tank commanders said they could engage a moving helicopter out to 5km. So I know it has a new air burst ammunition, but does it also have some sort of optical search and track like a lot of IFVs in the game already have?
why its not here yet lol
The later M1s already had the ability to lock the targeting system onto a moving target (like a tank for example). It’s probably been upgraded further to lock helicopters over time but it’s not entirely new. Gaijin would probably model it like IRST if it ever came to the game.
More specifically, most likely uses FLIR auto track to track the thermal signature of the target.
I would imagine they wouldn’t add it at all unless every nation’s current MBTs have something similar. Otherwise they’ll claim it’s unbalanced.
Gaijin has been very reluctant to add digital fire control systems. The only ground vehicle what has a sort of ground auto-track is the Khrizantema, and that’s because it has a ground-track radar.
It is equipped with the Trophy Active Protection System (APS), an Israeli system that intercepts incoming projectiles.
Mind showing more than 2 units that used it?
And no, I’m not talking about SEPv2 demonstrators… SEPv3. In service.
Why do you need this?
Why are you reiterating something that’s already been addressed?
Either you have something constructive to add, such as service-ready M1A2 SEPv3s equipped with Trophy, or you stay out of 3 month old threads.
