The funniest part is we have docs discussing the armor increase DU adds. Its just not valid according to Gaijin. Roughly 35% more KE protection would make the Abrams LFP 550mm.

It states that both the M1A1 SA and M1A2 SEPv2 have frontal armor upgrades. This would back up his ‘secondary’ source since it’s about as primary a source as you can get.

That’s because that particular BRL Armor was a design only, was not used, from what I gathered when I still cared to try.

Because they want exact number of improved Abrams LFP protection so basically they want a leakage of actual number or tests but in the other hand make T-90M with spall liner that works like magic and was never probably tested and documented that work like that? They want info they just need to wait for RF troops catch one Abrams in the wild steppes. Spall liner that works like that implemented on T-90M would have been made from kryptonite or black matter mixed with some bullshittium to actually stop 13MJ of energy stored in 600mm rod travelling up to 1600m/s. Cmon. Spallliners came in mind to stop armour fragments flying around from cracks made out of non pen shots.

To be honest if this thing doesn’t go through I’ll just give up and remove WT from my library. It is insane to think that whatever you give them, they will always ask for the first hand ballistic testing numbers. Devs just don’t care at all.
I am talking about they need of primary sources and ballistic data sheets of top classified stuff to make something happen in favour of “non-soviet” stuff in game but in the other hand they make something new/better for T-tanks without any sources or documents given.

Gaijin won’t fix the M1A2’s armor for the same reason they won’t fix APBC. It’s the same reason Russian tanks get 3 APHE rounds but US tanks aren’t allowed to have multiple APHE rounds. It’s the same reason M833 doesn’t exist, outside of the M1IP.

They are devs. They can do whatever they want and not show you a drop of anything. They don’t have to show you anything. Get over it. Either play by the rules and quit complaining or leave.
russia would actually be one of the least affected by that, the 76, 85, 100 and 122 they all have enough explosive mass to trigger the overpressure mechanic, this change would actually hit germany the most

the us would get hit as well… the 76 and 75 are benefiting of the mechanic just as much, it would actually help the uk in any case
