M1296 DRAGOON From 9.7 to 9.0/9.3

Jpn Type 24 & 25 are in the same boat.

BTR 80A only has APDS, no Stab, BTR-82AT has stab and 4 ATGMS @ 9.0

Bagel has no APFSDS, iTOW is second worse available TOW variant, AP round means poor angled performance compared to APDS / APFSDS.

EFV is a box with vertical sides and no AA ammo for the gun, also entire rear is a no depression zone like leo 2.

CV9035 both NL and DK version lack KETF ammo against air, so slightly more pen that 30mm, but no AA ammunition.

And please don’t compare autocanon vehicles with tank gun vehicles.

all this, due to the ever knowing Gaijin, placing vehicles somewhere in the TT, while almost never looking to compare capabilities to other similar vehicles. Boxer Vilkas and sWaTrgInf, both 10.7 while Vilkas has no AHEAD ammo available. which impacts the vehicles performance in game specifically against air. Same with T-72B / 1989, the difference between K1 and K5 is significant.

VBCI 2 has the same gun, armor, mobility, unmanned turret than the 1296, but doesn’t have the anti air shell.

They’re both 9.7. I don’t even understand why VBCI 2 is still at 9.7 lmao.

Gaijin will be not moving down armored personnel carriers with 30 mm cannon, is unfair considering that it doesn’t have proper anti-tank weapon but this apply to any other Trashmaster carrier from the american to the israeli. In your opinion Dragoon sucks as it’s slow is the same as the Type 16 which is equally slow in your logic because it’s a 4 axles armored vehicle, every wheeled vehicle is substantially slower than their tracked counterparts (I’ve mentioned this some time ago comparing XM-800T and FV 721).

Lowering M1126 to battle rating 9.0 (which in my opinion is at the same time absurd to vehicles that would face it and a great benefit for the vehicle itself) you’re asking not only for compression and at the same time any other Bushmaster carrier to be lowered as well.

@SadRIPer please stop the fallacy; it has low firing rate because it is supposed to be more accurate and keep firing longer (lower damage to the barrel, systems caused by pressure and heat), in-game it has the same accuracy values as 2A42 30 mm, it’s not Russian bias, if you feel like it does—2A42 has variable fire rate, try that if you want to make a comparison, low penetration comes to all autocannons, I’ve noticed this a long time ago, the post-penetration damage is also something that could be improved if War Thunder keeps leading to this Simcade game.

Shooting the side of a Russian main battle tank will have the same effect as any other autocannon in-game, it’s also not Russian bias. There will be exceptions like T-55 and older vehicles with thicker side-arc armor values compared to the thinner latest models like T-80, in fact you’re more likely to destroy a soviet main battle tank side-on faster than a M1 Abrams at the same distance using the same gun.

i have a theory

in my experience the stryker is actually a bit faster to accelerate when its suspension is tilted to the front

maybe this would apply to the dragoon? or maybe i am mistaken

but its not accurate at all

There we go the dude defending Russia at all costs came back

The garbagemaster has way less accuracy than russian autocannons ingame. Russian ERAs and side armors in general do eat DARTs (and bushmaster darts in consequence), it has been proven with the clips in the other threads.

It’s nerfed-to-the-ground by Russia Thunder.

Which comes to the fact that at least 30 mm Bushmaster II Mk.44 has the same accuracy/dispersion values as 30 mm 2A42, it’s (un)accuracy is more noticeable because of the firerate, unlike 2A42 that has around 4x more firerate, you won’t notice it unless you check real values in datamine or in-game testing using the “Change fire rate” feature.

another fun fact: overheating is actually calculated on the trigger time and not firerate

which hurts slower firerate cannons the most ironically

most of the overheat timers are copypasted (just like autocannon accuracy numbers) which is honestly such a gaijin way of doing things

Its objectively better than the EFV due to its HETF and air tracking so if it were to go down the EFV should go down too

I completely agree but people often overexaggerate how bad something is which hurts the vehicles case. The abrams is a great example of it. Does it have bugs? Yes, Is it the worst tank at top tier? No but it is a hard tank to play, the same way the VBCI MTC 30 is hard to play BUT if you really try to position your self you can drop nukes in it.

The question everybody should be asking…

That is part of the issue. The Bushmaster is undoubtedly a more accurate cannon; so why is it that they share values? At least the Russian autocannons have the speed to make up for the poor accuracy; Italy and other nations with the Bushmaster have to struggle with the poor aim without getting the benefit of the high rate of fire.

False equivalency or whatever other word you prefer to use for this case happens in a fewer other aspects in-game: e.g. missile having similar performance despite in real life sharing obvious differences and so on. Gaijin is slowly fixing their lazyness when they put accurate and more exact depression and elevation angle values in some main battle tanks a few months ago.

You mean like how Stingers are artificially nerfed? Any time things have similar performance (and shouldn’t), 99/100 times the Russian thing is given the benefit of the doubt and/or the NATO thing is given the nerf.

False Equivalency is universally bad in this game for any and all sides. That said, it certainly feels to negatively affect NATO significantly more than Warsaw Pact vehicles. They need to fix it.

Edit: And yes they also need to nerf the T58 and TURM III. I am not calling it a universal Russia only Bias. I am just saying that it happens a lot in favor of Russia.

Freccia also kicks ass thanks to its 10 spikes & commander thermal allowing it to kill tanks (especially light tanks) from behind hills

Based on what Renzo said I’d say it makes sense, at least to me. Subpar mobility equals out with the AA shells, which is pretty important against drones that will ping you, a bad thing for scout vehicles

Btw this completely breaks on the Dragoon because it has a ready rack for some reason, if you empty the ready rack you can overheat it without firing at all
