M10 Booker: The Baby Abrams

Not really, as is they will pen all the same weak points as say 3bm42.

Try to name 1 thing no other tank but those two have “trouble” defeating frontally.

The army losing their minds over everyone calling it a light tank.

Um no.

The US would get SepV3, SEPV4 was canceled and not produced.

“Although the current version of the [M1A2 Abrams], the SEPv3, entered service just two years ago in 2020, the U.S. Army is already working with General Dynamics on the [new upgrade]” (old info, using it for the SEPV3 release date).

Looking it up once again, KF51 Panther is still being massively resigned, and its concept tank is the only one that exists, because they keep going back to the drawing board.

The Leo2a7V was entered in 2021 according to an online source.

meaning of all these are newer / aren’t in service / are concepts.

The T-14 Armata may not be in full production, but they’re pretty much there, but due to economics, and war needs, they have reverted to upgrading T-90s more than producing a new tank, also it’s likely because they have more tooling to upgrade the older tanks.

So no, they shouldn’t get what you say, but knowing gaijin they will anyways. In game Russia is due for a good / usable MBT.

Not put into “production”
the SEPv4 was produced just not shifted past testing.

Um what.
Me when i lie

If we are gonna go into semantics then the discussion will be rather long.

  1. The 2s38 is older than the Booker, and has been in trials longer.

  2. If you are trying to say any serialized tank could be should be added, then things are going to get really really messed up, because Protos even have serial numbers usually.

I’m gettin real confused where all y’all’s goal post moving is going. But if you like to not even read your own sources, and post them sayin “it was this date!” When even your source agrees with me, it just shows your immense anoint of bias

Also, everyone tests a prototype… also, “production” ≠ “produced” now? I think you meant testing.

“ when the Army canceled the SEPv4 upgrade package for the M1A2 Abrams. SEPv4 had promised better sensors, networking, and threat detection, but at the cost of additional weight and complexity. With the SEPv3 Abrams already tipping the scales at close to 80 tons, Army leaders chose to halt those upgrades and rethink the platform from the ground up.”

Task & Purpose is also a Pro-USA channel. And even he says it’s been canceled.

You guys come up with random crap 24/7, yet I use facts, and some of you call me biased.

Bro.

And yes it never meant the same thing cause you can produce a prototype but it isn’t adopted until it goes into production.

Both are old, and outdated sources. Read the dates

image

Produced generally means adopted and made until production stopped.

Eg. the M10 booker because it was deemed as unnecessary, overweight, and likely had issues.

What does the date have to do with a tank ending development in 2023? It doesn’t change the fact one was built.

Because it didnt enter full development, and wasn’t adopted, or used outside of a test bed.

Just like the MBT-2000 was a demonstration tank.
(Or whatever the 120S I can’t recall the name)

So you agree then a SEPv4 was produced.

1 unit, and 1 alone. Was tested.

By that metric, and since the M10 is getting added, where is the T-14 Armata? They have around 68~ of them.

There’s what, 36 M10 bookers?
So you agree the T-14 Armata was produced then? Or obj. 195? Or obj. 1 - 1000?

Logic ≠ logic here

Logic = illogical fallacies here

The amount of gas lighting in this post is insane lmao.

You originally said : It was unveiled in 2024/2025

I said “no that’s wrong here’s the time line of the MPF/M10. Prototypes delivered 2020 publicly unveiled 2021. First batch delivered US Army 2024 cancelled 2025”

To which you argued “Your own source says it will not reach operational status until summer 2025 so you’re wrong”

Operational status was never my argument. You changed that goal post bud. Key word is unveiled. Unveiled and Operational status are 2 completely different things so the “muh semantics” argument is really dumb.

Then to top it all off you tried deflecting with the 2S38… Which all evidence (even pro Russian) says is not in active service with no units delivered. Then again moved the goal post and said well its prototypes have been around longer (something else I never argued)

So who’s the biased one here? Maybe you? Let’s not forget you came into this thread malding about the M10 coming and not the T14. Maybe sit and think real hard about why you came into thread and how the M10 and T14 aren’t comparable.

Your disinformation campaign is cute

Also, someone else brought up the 2S38, not me. But thanks for not reading :)

Careful, your bias is showing!

What metric? It’s the same metric that has been used throughout all of War Thunders tanks. How many Black Nights were made? How many Chally TDs were made. How many Obj.279s were produced?

What is your point?

This cope isn’t fooling anyone guy. Drop the terminal E3 attitude you’ll get farther in life.

My point is they don’t add new, brand new tanks, like the M10 which really isn’t that old, just as the Leo2a7v or HU aren’t, to just everyone.

Poor Italy.

Uh huh. Aren’t you the one:

  1. Posting disinformation
  2. Coping
  3. Trying to insult because you’re wrong, and won’t admit it?
  4. deflecting because your wrong

You act like a terminal butter bar (aka a 2nd Lt. for those who don’t know)

Brother, everything you and I have said is here on record. Nothing I said is wrong and legitimately the only thing you said is wrong was the unveiling date. If that was not clear then I am sorry that is all I was correcting. It wasn’t to start an argument. Operational status was not the argument. I can fully admit the M10 was a failure and never lived up to what it was supposed to be and never entered full service.
However I know you are a Russian military enthusiast and I get that. I like Russian equipment (I have a majority of USSR ground done myself) it’s fascinating I used to teach classes to my squad about it (E5 not butter bar fyi). But many times you come off as extremely hostile hence my statement. There is a place for the M10 and T14 in this game but they are not equals and will be added at separate times.

Both can be in game I really don’t think the M10 will be a huge meta defining vehicle it really looks like a side grade to the VT-5.
