It’s cool but the hype around it really died when the program got cancelled irl. They only got about 80 of them from the initial production, and none of the subsystems like LWS and Iron fist APS were fully integrated. Maybe something will come from it in the future, but as now what we have in game is cool but probably won’t be anything special.
Irrelevant. Both are very modern, built and developed in the span of the last 5 years. Not to mention that at the time of 2S38 addition the tank was exactly 1 yeah old which makes it equal with M10 Booker (2024 production - 2025 addition).
First prototype was delivered in 2020 (MPF)
Wins in competition over BAE 2022
Designated M10 Booker 2023
First delivered to Army units Feb 2024
Cancelled June (I think) 2025
First publicly seen in 2021 is what I can find so definitely not unveiled in 2024/25
The hstvl / Rdflt are both under br’d monsters. Me and my buddy killed 9 Russian mbts on advance to the rhine with just a hstvl (me) and his rdflt, because we reload so quick and have decent armor. They got annihilated.
Are you seriously comparing HSTVL with M10 Booker. I know they have the same classification in game but their playstyles are completely different and US 10.7 lineup indeed could use some love.
The M10 Booker was never a full rate production vehicle and I never claimed it was. But it was no longer an experimental vehicle when it received the designation M10. The Army took possession of 36 vehicles over the course of a year and went through multiple tests with the 82nd and then was promptly cancelled in May 2025.
Your original statement was exactly “It was unveiled in 2024-2025.” Which it was not. Prototypes were completed in 2020 and publicly seen in 2021, that is unveiling. The Army took possession of their first batch in April 2024 but again this isn’t unveiling.
I made no argument about the 2S38 but if you really want to go there it also is not accepted into service.
Here’s an extremely pro Russian source even admitting that it’s state is unknown and none have been delivered to units.
