It looks like M-346FA is currently a bit misplaced on the dev-server.
In my opinion it should be placed under Tonado ADV in the same line as AMX, instead of bombers line and under Hungarian Su-22M3.
Both spots are currently empty, but unlike the 2nd line, the 4th one can be continued by Romanian LanceR A and C jets for example.
Apart from “TT filling possibilities”, there is also a logic argument here, M-346FA fits the second line way more, as it gives the player progression from in some ways quite similar gameplay experience mix of AMX attacker and, maybe at lesser degree, Tornado ADV advanced air-to-air capabilities.
Jokes aside, for the longest of times the italian bomber line ended at 3.7 with the P.108s so it’s not really a problem. It would be more of a problem if the small Fighter-Attacker went to the big bomber line instead of the attacker or fighter-attacker lines.
not like modern day italy or subtree uses big bombers, precision strike from small attackers like that fill that role these days
amx went into the line its currently in because its kinda the domestic italian plane line (including planes italy played a part in developing (realistically its the line the eurofighter shouldve gone in))
Mind you that this was before the addition of the MB326K and the MB326B.
The idea was the following:
First column - US Fighters
Second column - Italian fighter jets designs
Third column - an hybrid between italian CAS jets and Naval jets
Fourth column - Mostly Romanian line
Fifth column - Hungarian line
Due to this, the AMX was moved in the third column due to it being a CAS aircraft.
The MB326K and the MB339K are in the second column due to them being the fighter variants of the series. (BR was based on the addition with AAM)
The MB326CD being in the third column due to it being the CAS variant with MFDs and predisposition for Mavericks.
With this approach I think it would make sense to put the M346FA, the fighter variant, in the second column.
I would probably put something like the M346FT in the third.
