The primary issue here is that you allege one particular vehicle is “disgusting” and want something bad to happen to it. However, that’s just WT. (Think IS-3, The Russian Driving Saucer, and almost every German heavy.) If you have a problem fighting it, you just adjust your tactics. Everyone learns that, especially those who start as US mains.
The real problem is either very bad luck, or very bad tactics. I’ve suffered from more than my fair share of both, and the solution is just to use more tactics.
To misquote Sun Tzu, the battle must be won before the first shot is fired.
It’s a bit of a sponge for sure, but its’ nothing too crazy in my experience. Most lower caliber APHE rounds can be fuzed by hitting the UFP the driver and co-driver sit behind. It’s just thick enough for that.
I could see it going up to 1.3 if they wanted to ever decompress the low ranks, but in the mean time, it’s not the most toxic reserve vehicle, and can stay where it is.
The BT-5 and M8 LAC are the most egregious cases of toxic reserve vehicles lol
The LVT is disgusting because it plays very similar to a more modern tank, being very good with gun handling and firepower, a massive silhouette, being speedy, and niche survivability. In other words it’s an extremely powerful and forgiving tank.
