Lower Ta-152 C-3 BR

This plane was already awful at its BR, and now, after Air RB introduced air spawn for everyone, it has lost its altitude advantage as well. Theis plane - considered worst by many - got even worse.

Hear me out, just don t play it.

But yeah it sucks donkey balls atm. It should be 5.3 or even 5.0 with how abismal the performance is, which is a shame because it feels like it would be an absolute crotch rocket considering its body to engine size ratio

They need to rework the spawns for props, especially the high BR one’s; the airspawn is indeed destroying the usefulness of the interceptors, but as well using a bomber at those BR (my beloved darkstar, G8N1 or other B-29, Tu-4,…) are way too close, spawning at 4-6km with a bomber that is made to be used at 10km is just a death sentence… at least they don’t cost 20k sl to repair, now.
I think fighter should spawn on the floor, rework the ‘interceptors’: some such as the J7W1 are, but are considered fighter and climbs really bad, even tho other such as the early F-84 should spawn on the ground. AS well as the XP-50.
And in my opinion I know people will spit on, attack aricraft should spawn as well on the ground, because Playing something stratospheric and having all the bases stolen from turboprops, it is really not fun.
Intercetoprs would spawn at a good 3-4km, while high BR long range bombers should spawn at, at least, 8km to not get overclimbed by any given props.

Climb Rate
IRL: Initial 15-20+ m/s with boost. Good for its intended role.
WT: 13.1 m/s (upgraded). Noticeably worse than real life data.

Honestly…that is what makes it worst plane. But even fixing this won’t pull it out of the abyss it’s currently in.

The only way to fix this plane is to have game objectives at 10km of alt. It was not intended for the alts Air RB happens in. It’s like bringing a heavy bomber for a dogfight.

Imagine a battle where there are no ground targets, but only AI bombers at 12km of alt. What would you rather be in, a Yak 3U or Ta 152 C3?

Lowering the Ta 152 C3 in BR is not going to help. It’ll just get reversed by lower BR planes at the usual altitudes where Air RB happens: 0-5km of alt. The Fw 190 D9 is simply better, more fitting for the job.

Ta-152C was the low altitude interceptor variant

Of course it will.

I think this aircraft has been at its worst over the past year and a half or so, hasn’t it? It’s probably because of things like the addition of mid-air spawns for all aircraft and the reduced bullet speed of the MG151.

Agreed. This plane is god awful at 6.3 you only have dive speed and guns as an advantage. Everything turns better, climbs better and maintains energy better. It should be 5.3 or 5.7 because it’s flight performance isn’t far off from the 5.0 190D-9.

No… In WT its around 22 m/s. But still atrocious for 6.3.

The Ta-152 C-3 has 4.7 ish levels of performance, but with its crazy armament I think it should fit well in 5.0 or 5.3 at most.

It’s crazy that it sits at 6.3

The BR of the 152 C varies with altitude. It starts at 4.7 on the deck, and keeps growing the higher you go.

I’d say it’s worse at low to mid alt.

I made a bug report that could help a bit, the 15mm reduces weight and has better ballistics and spread, and with the HE damage buff a while ago even the few grams on the 15mm are good enough: Community Bug Reporting System

nah, it’s even more trash up there.

Doesn’t have supercharger gears, and the engine power is at its best at the deck. It’s engine power decreases a lot as you climb. At 5000m you have around just 16m/s climb rate which is very bad for the BR

Okay but it can just keep trucking up while most others choke the fuck out.
5km is still too low for the 152C, it needs 10km to shine (fights never happen above that lmao)

At around 7km altitude (also fights essencially never happen there too), the Ta-152C only has like 1.5 m/s better climb rate than a yak-3u, a very agile low altitude fighter sitting at 5.3 lol. The yak will also handle a lot better when maneuvering at any altitude while the 152C is a brick

Regardless, the 152C will get massively outclimbed even in a full downtier by almost everything it faces. Even if people cared to climb above 5-6km, you would not get to leverage your very high altitude performance because you would get easily BnZ’d by most other fighters

The hornet mk3 will do everything the 152C can, but better at 6.0 with an air spawn. It has 33m/s climb rate at low altitude where the ta 152 only gets 22m/s, at 7km is still better by 2-3m/s, is faster, turns better, also good gun kit, also very good dive handling, the 152C rolls better but the hornet rolls ok even at very high speeds. Did I mention it gets an airspawn and lower BR?

*Forgot the 152 also gets airspawn but the hornet gets a better spawn from air defence fighters

I find that no one goes above 20k feet in air RB, despite being less agile, the C model feels more useful than the H because the H never gets to fight at it’s ideal altitude. At least the C is within it’s proper envelope even if it’s flawed
