The only other missiles with IRCCM you’ll see is the Magic 2, which has exactly the same IRCCM function as R-73 with a worse flight envelop. They have a much more limited range, but also have a proxy trigger delay that means they can’t be used at point blank, and lack the thrust vectoring that makes the R-73 so scary at point blank.
Yes, if you let a F1C or 2000 F get within 1.5 km of you rear aspect, you’re in trouble, but other aspects or further ranges make the Magic 2 about as easily flared as an AIM-9L in those aspects, in my experience.
Again, you’re focusing on problems that literally every 11.0 plane faces, not things unique to the Bis.
