The Swedish air tree lacks ground attack aircrafts at low tier, the only planes capable of ground striking are large bombers. I suggest adding the I-153 as a sub-vehicle under the B-239. This would give the Swedish tree much needed agile bomber fighters for lower tiers.
Here is my source that Finland operated the I-153.
It won’t be difficult for Gaijin too because it is copy and paste and players won’t have to research this compulsorily because it is a sub-vehicle like the I-153 is under the I-15 Bis in the USSR tree.
I agree that they were rearmed but I can’t seem to find anything about the removal of rocket/bomb racks. Could you pls provide some sources? thx!
I found these photos from this website (The last one was from google search) and it looks like bombs/rocket racks. You can see they all have the little semi-circular legs
Finnish I-153’s had bomb racks, but K.Stenman’s book on Soviet fighter planes in Finnish service make no mention about rocket rails, and none of images in it show rockets being carried. Also, I think it was a book about DeHavilland Vampire in Finnish air force that mentions it being the first plane to carry aircraft rockets in Finnish service.
I see, bombs are still better than nothing though and I think it would be a great addition especially with the cool skis. :) Maybe Gaijin will figure it out when they do add it.
