I mean then straight up introduce ranked battles with an ELO, where you have to play meta vehicles.
Would be quite nice if there was an option to only queue with level 100+ players but that would probably lead to unreasonably long queue times at some BRs

Could possibly prevent them from playing 10.0 to top without having at least 3 vehicles at 9.0 or above, or be at least lvl35. That way they would either have to spend quite alot, and possibly temp them to buy lower BR vehicles, or actually spend some time playing the game.
would the matches be better tho? you would be fighting more skilled players. your score would suffer because you dont have noobs to shoot at. i mean, thats how half of this works, right? you get many kills. you get a high score. you have more fun grinding. if you are the one who gets killed all the time, you would have less fun.
lets be honest here. your only complaint is when they are in YOUR team. thats your complaint. why are there level 4’s in MY team. thats your complaint. not “why are there level 4’s at high tier”.
They should just add a player level or tech tree rank unlocked requirements. For example need to be level 60 or 70 before you can buy a rank 8 premium. Or you can only buy a premium 2 ranks above your highest

The reason you don’t see a TT finished is due to playing multiple trees.
I’m level 63 with only the F5E as my highest unlock, but I’ve multiple nations ground out at WW2 and some to rank 5.

Doing a super simplified calculation of “Take plane with highest RP cost for a given rank, multiply by amount needed to unlock next tier”. For the Ja37C, I just took its RP cost and the preceeding aircraft’s RP cost (260K + 350K).
Sweden, to unlock the 11.7 Ja37C without any top tier buy premium shenanigans takes at most 2.61 million RP - corresponding to level 35.
Variation of ±2 levels is possible with actually careful calculation paying attention to branches and realizing unlocking rank VII doesn’t take researching 4 J35Bs for 220K RP each J29F and J34 both only take 160K each, thus I’ve overshot the RP required by 120K here already.
Why calculate sweden? They got few aircraft and simple branch dependencies and not a lot of foldering. Foldering can reduce the RP requirement further, branch dependencies can introduce unpredictable RP requirements.
Getting JAS39C (absolute lowest plane in TT), it’s ~1.5m more RP rounded up. 1.5M more RP pushes us up to just under level 50. F18C is just half a mil, so not even 50.

They’re level 21 despite playing for nearly 6 days straight. Why? Because they only fly low-RP reward game modes (air sim, where you are capped at 2000 RP (+500 for landing) every 15 minutes) and aircraft (136% RP modifier).
I’m level 50 with 6 days in tanks, 6 days in planes (RB), 4 days in planes (SB) (total 16 days)
I checked some lvl 100 in my squadron. 13 days in planes (RB), 6 days in tanks (RB), 1 day in planes (SB). Total days: 20.
They have 4 days more played than me and are level 100. I have 11 days played more than that level 21 and I’m level 50.
Bit old, but still works for effect.
So going by that Level 50 as a level requirement to buy rank 8 and 7 seems good to me.
I’d just go that they have have unlocked at least 1 rank 6 vehicle within the relevant game mode (air, ground, naval). Maybe formalize it into N-1 generally.
That is similar to my other suggestion. And it would definitely fix the issue of having absolute noobs in top tier. Especially if we also nerf base bombing in air. But I dont think Gaijin will ever implement it. Because it would mean missing out on a lot of money.
Sadly Gaijin definitely will not do this and problem of new players plaguing higher tiers is here to stay. You can propose ideas but nothing substantial will ever come through.
It’s a shame they did this with a multi-spawn mode, instead with a single-spawn mode like ARB, where single vehicle warriors would hurt the matches way less. Seeing Air still not receiving 13.7 premiums makes me wonder…
even a requirement of level 30 would greatly improve gameplay, there are so many players with level 20 or below.
it doesnt have to be a radical change, it should just prevent normal top tier games from being plagued by brand new players
You would also have more skilled players that (hopefully) don’t leave after one death, so you have more people to actually shoot at in the end. Also your teams wouldn’t collapse in the first 5 minutes
or just removing toptier premiums would be very good but gaijin needs money dont care about players
In this game, too much depends on randomness, from which side of the map you start to how the server registers your projectile hitting an enemy. So, you can’t do anything about it! Don’t forget that among level 100 players, there are those who only play one respawn. Therefore, regardless of whether there are new or old players, you’ll often see those who leave the battle without contributing to the victory. Especially at high ranks.
