Actually, they do contradict that…
hmmm how do we know if that was his intentions? How do we know if he probably just ran out of missiles to fire therefor J out cuz i done that. How do we know if that SAM got shot at and cant repair and still stock therefor cant repair? Maybe he did J out after seeing you, hard to say what was their intentions without their side of the replay shown.
In that event it should give kill credit to whoever damaged them, no?
I will J out readily from a plane whose damage makes it too difficult to turn without spinning out or put up a fight. It gives kill credit, so it’s nbd.
For running out of ammo, I’m not sure how I feel about that. How I feel shouldn’t matter tho.
Kill credit for crashing should be a thing, and J-ing out should have its radius increased. Not sure how to handle radius for air-ground though. Maybe it could be “If they were in the same sector and a plane, you get kill credit for J out”.
ahh yea, that is true.
I mean, i do it. Only carries 8 missiles, once im out of them and no cap points captured or team already lost, ima J out.
The more we discuss it the more I realise I’m bothered by the principle as opposed to any tangible consequence (points or SL/RP gain). Based on the responses I’m seeing though, if this gets worse Gaijin will need to intervene as it will undermine the spirit of the game (which I believe to be generally fair and competitive).
I’m having a hard time placing my thoughts on my own actions in game. If I have spawned a fighter/striker and I run out of targets or munitiona, depending on the situation, I’ll either rearm, j-out, or play chicken with SPAA until one or both of us are dead. I can’t say I’ve consciously j-ed out to deny a kill however, I’ll gladly abandon a vehicle if it means I can respawn in something more effective (example above with CAS, or another example being to abandon an SPAA once I have no more planes to shoot down and/or I have enough points to continue fighting in a tank).
I think pettiness, revenge and spite are quite natural. The only time they become a problem (as far as Im concerned) is when they can be carried out with Impunity (j-out to avoid a kill in this instance) I know some will feel strongly about CAS revenge bombing but I feel that issue is more to do with the kill cam than CAS.
Reading all this is funny everone is going off point.
If your avoiding a Fox-3 and realized that you cant out run it or doge it and you plow your plane into the ground to rob the kill to the other player thats unsportsmanlike conduct.
If your in a SPAA and lob your missles at my plane and then J out when i launch my ATGM or rockets, Bombs, just to hop into a new one just to lob another 4+ missiles with spawn protection then i see that as Unsportsmanlike conduct
How do you distinguish between a failed dodge and this?
Replays
after they crash
And yet, the most rewarding objective is to kill others players,… how do you think fair players accepting to get shot down feels when you crash after an hard work and duel?
You’re explainning here that you’re not upset because you also do it,… what a bullshit.
All people thinking that crashing is “fair” only are a burden that Gaijin should get rid off.
Imagine if EVERYONE does this, it would be only 2 tornadoes and a Su-22 flying after a mere 30 seconds in the game, however:
→ no kills in any teams
→ no rewards for anyone (be it by time, kills, objectives)
→ the only grinding effect would be the one given for takeoff, which also is reduced at top-tier since we got the airspawn battles (another dumb feature in my eyes)
In brief, you just advocates for your anti-play behaviors, that are responsible for killing the low economical rewards.
This also explain why i consider that 90% of the community is currently bad at playing the game.
I never do it myself, but I understand the frustration of always being the game filler.
I’m with MIG19 and it’s a scandal… all the time uptier.
This game just adds and adds if you fix
This thread reflects perfectly what is wrong with some wt players.
A short reminder:
-
WT is a video game. Everybody is free to play this game how he wants to play it. If some people feel the need to crash on purpose - it’s their choice and their account. Everybody is free to address his opinions - but trying to play a SJW warrior in a video game forum is rather pathetic.
-
If i see the fellow Ground RB players jumping out in order to deny that an enemy gets more spawn points - as long as it is allowed, why not? It looks like that makes sense.
-
If gaijin would see a problem with this behaviour - they would have changed it. Look at team killing issues within wt - if gaijin would care about fairness there would be no teamkills outside Sim modes - either because friendly fire would be disabled or gaijin would have implemented draconic punishments. Therefore any discussions regarding “sportsmanship” are pointless. Gaijin decides how the game can be played - and not some clowns who thinks their way of playing would be the right one and feel the need to judge about others if they don’t follow their own mindset.
-
Asking for punishments (and even asking for perma bans) for players which do not play like others want them to play is exactly the attitude of pathetic losers. I mean it is obvious why such requests are ridiculous and are primarily addressd by self-righteous folks - they simply refuse to make a “reality check”. Just try to tell a random stranger on the street that you don’t like the way this guy is dressed and ask him to change his clothes.
-
On top of that: Some guys ask for getting a kill / reward just because they were somehow near a crashing enemy. Rewards for doing nothing called “i was there bonus”? Seriously? Just ask for free SL and RP after pressing the “To battle” button without any game play.
-
The only somehow comprehensible request in this thread was asking for a reintroduction of the proximity score. This was helpful some years ago to locate enemies in Air RB nightbattles and in matches with intense and very thick cloud layers. But also here a reminder: The mission score was very low and only relevant if you had a very long and intense dogfight in a 1 vs 1 and an otherwise useless team mate at low earth orbit felt the need to come down and “help” you by stealing your kill. The 16 vs 16 set-up has killed these rare 1 vs 1s almost entirely.
Nothing to see here…
That’s why you give proximity/maneuver kill credit.
KC goes to whoever (plane) spent longest within a 2 km radius at time of crash. Game has way to track proximity, and game has had ways to track time spent near enemy. Time spent outside of 2 km radius causes this counter to tick down in a non-instantaneous manner (say, you need 1 minute of separation for it to count down to zero).
In case of missiles, KC goes to the missile (or its carrier) that has an active lock, or had a lock within the last 10 seconds and was within X distance (X distance probably varying with FOX types). This variant is superseded by plane-KC.
It’s not bullshit. You just take issue with the fact that I genuinely don’t care about it.
So what if some dude crashes after I fire a missile at him or J’s out as I drop a bomb on him? That’s still 1 enemy vehicle out of the fight, putting the team I’m on - gaggle of potential idiots they may be - closer to winning the match.
I don’t care about trying to grind vehicles out faster - I got over that quite some time ago. I don’t care about RP/SL gains or losses because grinding is for the most part, nearly entirely irrelevant to how I play the game.
And advocating for it? Lmfao you’re daft - I’m not advocating for it nor condemning it. What people choose to do is what people choose to do. They can crash, J out, or fight it out and die - Those are their choices to make and I have no interest in trying to make that choice for them. It’s their accounts, after all - Not mine.
And so what if most of the playerbase started doing it? I legitimately wouldn’t care. I don’t know about you but I play plenty of other games and can switch at will whenever this game gets too annoying or boring to play.
I don’t care about your emotional arguments on this - It’s entirely irrelevant.
That doesn’t even cover violations of fair play. That only covers what actions result in a crew lock for the player.
You have nothing to actually make an argument with, so you’re just tossing whatever you think will work at the wall until it sticks.
But it won’t.
You lose. Thanks for playing.
Surely you, especially you given your fellow passion for propeller plane combat, can agree that there are ways to kill enemies in a dogfight without ever opening fire on them - right?
G-loc causing them to be unable to pull up or evade terrain; compression causing them to be unable to pull-up or evade terrain; simply being driven into the ground in a split-S where they miscalculated their turn performance after you got them down near the deck with a defensive spiral; spooking them causing them to turn too hard/uncoordinated and stall out (more likely in sim, but I’ve seen planes spin out and die in air RB recently as well).
Most of these are caused directly by your maneuvering in both defensive and offensive positions. There’s also enemies ripping their wings trying to dive away from you, but there you usually have the time to hit them with a few bullets before they hit the ground.
Planes dying from stalls seem far more frequent in sim compare to ARB (thanks instructor), but I don’t see a reason not to reward flying well defensively.
Goodness knows I’ve died a lot of times without getting hit thanks to someone baiting me out and outflying me and tunnel vision/awareness issues, and simply putting my plane into a flatspin because yeah.
Mate - you might have missed my point.
The classic maneuver kill was always about being the better pilot and not about rewards. 4-5 years ago we might have had an interesting exchange, but the current player base is on average far away from being as experienced as the average player those days.
Imho to any reference to niche modes like Air SB is pointless just due to the popularity of Air RB and Air AB+ called Air RB. If you check the OP you might agree further discussions about this topic are actually off-topic.
Have a good one!
For a person who doesn’t care, you sure feel the need to say you don’t care a lot.
For a person who claims be winning arguments, you seem be dismissing things rather than actually arguing or discussing anything.
Man here tryna j-out of conversations
Because I don’t, and I have no qualms about making it known. Seems you’re taking issue with it - But that’s something else I don’t care about. Your personal issue, not mine.
Dismissing things of zero substance is part of winning. It’s that simple. If you don’t want your weak arguments to be dismissed then provide something of substance. I’m not going to do your work for you, after all.
then you’re for winning a match without doing any points (or barely some,…)
you still didn’t understand that 90% of community is likely to follow such stupid behavior,…
and if they J-out to spawn in another SPAAG/SPAAM → why didn’t they tried to kill you with the first one, as they can also respawn after the same loss (getting Spawn points and Rewards in between).
so,… i don’t care to win a game simply because i turned on my radar,… no interest
