Good day, I’m looking for a rare kind of player. Someone very chill, well-established and overly fixated on War Thunder I’d squad up with on a semi-regular basis. Important details further.
I’ve dumped a lot in WT, 5.3k hrs on Steam and around 1,5-2k hrs through launcher. I’m currently around top 5k in ground RB leaderboard if it means anything. I’ve tried to play ground 1x1 War Thunder TSS.
As you might have guessed, I’m mostly playing ground RB - with “historical” setups that attempt to reflect the available/best materiel of a game nation in constraint with certain time periods or locations, with all the due respect to realities of the game. My setups are also a toolset from which I try to pick an instrument for achieving the biggest impact with the given battle situation. I do not normally play prototype vehicles that do not have a service record, French 1940-50s prototypes be a major exception.
Sometimes all that matters to me is just preserving my single tank through the battle while getting a few kills, as if it was a real vehicle (I especially like to do this with notable heavy tanks like Tortoise or IS series). Or to provide my team with a kind of support that doesn’t count toward stats - leading advances, providing air reconnaisance, giving out info, you name it. If it’s plausible and I’m not that tired yet, I play to win till the end.
All of this doesn’t mean I don’t play purely for fun or just for kills occasionally. I play air RB and Sim at times, too, and I’m a lot less there, but if you know what’s up, you can count me in as well as count on me. I’ve got a title for 1000 manual bomber gunner kills before the recent bomber update) if you like bombers, that’s another plus one.
More important notes, if you got this far:
I play mostly WW2-themed setups on rank III-IV, I came here for them, though sometimes I move into Cold War territory. Top tier is something I only try out in test flights, and for most people it seems to matter.
I won’t be able to accomodate you if you expect me to yap a lot, sorry. Plus several points if you’re Russian, but EU folks who know English and are otherwise a good fit will do.
I’m not interested in joining squadrons, like at all.
