pretty sure the improvment is for added sustain and reliability which i think is mostly related to the EECM and different fuel trimmings, but maybe due to a updated code it may gain some extra thrust but like 3% nothing major like a 200 to 229
just under i think max reported was mach 1.76 or 1.78 but thats still very fast
It can supercruise at Mach 1.76-1.78 wtf, I never knew this fact that’s insane to me.
thats also only the max reported, its possible that it is slightly faster (but not too much faster)
probably not according to a previous F22 pilot it can go mach 2 at 40,000 ft at 118% throttle out of a possible 150% throttle meaning in full mil power that math is about mach 1.8
Shouldn’t be able to go over 2 Mach in normal service (temp limit)
Couldn’t imagine this limit will exist in game
does the Foxbat overheat at Mach 3 and stuff. if yes probs will be modeled for balance if not then my guess is they might have to.
for some reason, some planes overheating mechanics are modeled as wing rip instead of… heat. for example, su-27 shouldn’t rip at mach 2.35, but its engines would over heat. But for some reason its modeled as wing rip
huh, never knew that.
the commonly stated max speed is 2.25 though
and even then its often listed as 2.25+
Speed limit (~M2.25) on the F22 is related to high temperatures destroying the RAM, the theoretical maximum for the airframe itself was iirc calculated at ~M2.8. From what I read it was not tested to that speed, but apparently did reach ~M2.5 on some tests.
Not that it matters much, as the plane wasn’t designed to be a super fast interceptor.
Given the available infos* on APG-77(v)1 having ~2000 TRMs and 20kV of peak power, it is possible to estimate the figures of ranges of the radar?
Yf23 better

that is probably the best game ever made
i heard it got upgraded engines wonder how its TWR will be hope its around 1.5 stripped down
Quite literally yes, it wasn’t twice the cost for nothing lol
But don’t worry it’s coming back, all hail F/A-XX
