ive heard of sustaining the engines and software improves to squeeze out more thrust, but not upgrades like PW-220 to 229
Aim260 too
Definately not his december, seeing we still dont have su35, f15ex, f16 block 70 and grippen e, mig31 yet. I believe this year will fill late 4.5 gens. Next year its gonna be advanced missiles like meteor r37m and aim174b and cold war jets like mig25 and f106. Next year december we could see early variants of f22.
My best guess is that this December we won’t see shit, unfortunately. Probably better ir missiles on aircraft at best. We are pretty far from the F-15EX. Su-35 maybe not so much but idk
Oh yes. This game has advanced so far it’s crazy.
Can’t wait for these bad boy to beat it
It can’t, if you are talking about WVR and BVR is questionable too. By the way i know gaijin tho, you might be right lmao :))
No it doesnt and if it’s added it will need to be artificially nerfed balanced.
Either no HMD and limited payload options.
F-22 correctly modelled takes over the game. Can’t lock it unless your are within 15-20km and insane flight performance…We are nowhere near this.
We dont even have ECM/EW to help the Gen 4+ counter it.
Do we play the same Typhoon?
Typhoon barely beats an F-15 in game in BVR and the F-22 is more capable in every metric. If Gaijin return the fm to what it should be then we have a chance.
Su-35S and F-15EX are all but guaranteed
Perchance the F-15 has a better acceleration and top speed, giving the missiles more energy. The F-22 shouldn’t be that far off either AND it has stealth so yeah. Nothing will come near it in BVR. Gaijin will probably put it in the game without HMD tho, as the first blocks did not have it but the F-35 will probably arrive in the same update as the 22 so i imagine that we will receive a later block of the F-22 to able to cope with the F-35, Su-57 and J-20
Not in acceleration and any top speed limitations would be to preserve the RAM coating on the F-22.
And exchange pilots have commented on the insane thrust Typhoon has, it is faster and accelerates faster than an F-15
what BR will this be
Now, we should have decompression to 15.0 at least. So at like 16.3 there will be the 4.5 gens and then at probably 17.3 or 17.7 or maybe even 18.0 we need to have the 5th gen
This is simply speculation without knowing RCS of f22.
I would see it’s frontal RCS near 0.01m2 wrt to multiple rcs simulations on it online, in game. That would put it around 70 - 100km lock range frontally against modern radar systems.
It will not get hmd for earlier versions, but for the most modern versions it can get the scorpion hmd.
The main thing that puts f22 back are it’s aim120d missiles, which would lag a lot against meteors, pl15, r37m, aim174b and pl17.
While it can get aim260 in future irl, we really don’t know much on it, I would not be seeing it anytime soon in game.
Other thing which limits f22 are it’s aging sensors in comparision to, probably every 5th gen at this point, especially against f35
For wvr, it might be the best, su57 could beat f22 in wvr regards tho.
Typhoon radar is simply modelled bad, we don’t have meteors yet. Later models could get aesa and meteors in game, with ecm, it will make it even better.
Locking it and being able to shoot at it are very different things. Yes you can detect it but can you shoot at it? How do they model the coatings will ARHM just lose track?
So in game we see it at 40km but can only reliably lock and shoot it at 20ish the point is the same at which point it has already shot at us.
120D would in game be superior to Meteor as we insist on slow speed/ low altitude launches on tiny maps. 120D would be faster off the rail and still lethal in the 40km+ range. Meteor would need time and altitude to get up to speed at which point it becomes near impossible to evade.
Peregrine is also developed for F-22 and MAKO for ground attack.
F-35 could not in game compete with the F-22, J-20 and Su-57. Kinematically it is inferior to all of those platforms. It’s sensors will never be modelled in game.
That’s the dream and the only way you balance making 4.5gen face 5th gen.
But if we look at Gaijins history Balance is Bull plop, so Gen 4.5 will have to be food for the Gen 5s to stop the queue times being greater than 30 seconds.
we arent in the sarh world anymore. once you get a lock/ you can launch the missile. all you have to do is to provide DL updates to the missile so that it homes to the general direction of the plane around 7km~ . yes stealth effects the arh seeker, but not as adversly as it does to X band radars. they use radars with bandwith in milimeters, in this band, even smallest deformities like screws, small panel gaps, change of materials etc. give returns.
I would be expecting 250x250km maps for arb in the future
Meteor would be worse in first 10km, but it’s still no slouch, it has a initial solid booster at the start too.
Peregrine would be worse but more aim120d for f22
Idk what would mako do in arb
My point for f35 was sensors. Knowing gaijin, he wont model them all, but atleast some of it, they can refer to the f35 module coming to dcs in future
True
From what I have seen with simulated BVR with Gen 5 you effectively launch the missile in “Home on Jam” mode and hope the missile finds it’s target. Yes adding EAWACS would also help against Gen 5 aircraft.
It’s funny because being able to try and maintain a hard lock would be more effective using a Fox 1 then relying on the built in Radar on the Fox 3 to make the correct distinction.
we desperately need bigger maps but players dont like larger maps they want an ace combat experience. True if map sizes stay the same that 120D is going to hit you before the Meteor does from closer ranges but then a UK Typhoon would use ASRAAM in that case.
Carries more which would be a cool way to balance is as the missile is shorter range but you can have more of them. MAKO was for ground pounding which is where every top tier jet ends up. In ground RB
I hope they refer to the Typhoon module being developed…
Playing as an F-35 and providing DL and command and control would be very cool.
