We’re currently on War Thunder 7.
There doesn’t need to be perpetual additions either.
There are still plenty of planes to bring in game, not only for top but previous tiers as well. So many variants…
But i do believe after they satisfy the ^hunger^ of the masses to play the next ^best plane in the world^ , they’ll bring some actual gameplay into the game.
They can even make campaign mode and sell campaigns like single player games with expansions etc.
I don’t think there will be WT 2 , for the next 5 years at least.
WW2 and early cold war vehicles won’t bring the money nor the hype that these leaked vehicles will bring.
War thunders entire update model for the past 8 years have been releasing new dangling vehicles to keep people playing.
People playing costs the company money.
The “update model” [not a thing] exists to support game development in a consistent manner.
Features, vehicles, etc.
Vehicles are not the goal of War Thunder. And infinite profit also isn’t the goal of War Thunder.

i think this is what he meant (sorry for bad drawing). an F-22 can do this comfortably while staying in controlled flight according to what test pilot saw
it wouldn’t suprise me too much if other planes could do that, as they pretty much would only need a good enough TWR to sustain a 70* climb. If he meant pulling 110* to climb, that is impressive.
i think he means being able to maintain flight at that AoA which i dont think many planes can do, and the ones that can all must have TVC

I’m dubious as to how the heck Gen5 gameplay would sit within the current WT meta. DeepAI said this:

If they add 5th gen without a new gamemode, EW/ECM or new (bigger) maps, consider the game dead. The missiles we’re starting to fire are getting to ranges of easily being able to go airfield to airfield and then some… We’re cooked.

Honestly have my doubts about it weighting that much. Where does 14,000lb come from on an airframe much newer (composite and stuff) and similar dimensions to an F-15C which is 29000lb empty
Well the engines it uses are very heavy, almost 5 thousand kilograms combined. That is heavier than most other 2 engined fighters
Ok so compared to F-15C at about 3000kg. That’s still like 9,600lb difference on a newer airframe with more composite and lighter tech
RAM and Structural.
Still, you would think the structural differences would be largely negated by a more modern and composite using construction. And I really don’t think the RAM weighs that much
