I’ve played War Thunder on Xbox for years (4–5 years, grinding and even buying premium vehicles), and now that I finally have a PC I’m furious to discover Gaijin still treats me like a second-class player. Gaijin’s own support site bluntly notes that “the procedure for transferring console accounts has been temporarily suspended” – meaning my Xbox-born account is permanently stuck on Xbox.
In short, I can play on PC, but I can’t use the PC store, marketplace, or sales that PC players take for granted. This is absurd after years of loyalty and spending on the game.
- No Marketplace Access: Gaijin explicitly locks console accounts out of the Gaijin Market.
- No PC Store Deals: we literally miss out on all the normal discounts and sales that PC players enjoy.
This situation is fundamentally unfair. We console players weren’t given a PC option when we started – so we shouldn’t be punished forever for that fact. Just to be clear, I’m not asking Gaijin to somehow make Xbox and PlayStation match PC sales — I understand that those pricing decisions are controlled by Microsoft and Sony. What I am asking is for Gaijin to reopen the option to transfer our accounts to PC, so we can actually access the full features of the game without being locked into the console platform forever.
Gaijin, please treat this seriously: resume the account transfer service. Don’t force longtime players to suffer because they began on Xbox. We want to keep spending money and support War Thunder – just give us the option to transferour accountsand enjoy the full PC marketplace and sales like everyone else.
