I’d say it’s more of a nerf lmao, the extra PARS add so much weight, poor UHT can barely maintain lift or propel itself. I am still getting used to it, but I’ve been crashing more often now because of the extra inertia. I’d much rather have PARS that loft than 4 extra useless PARS.
Well hello there,
LMURs are getting thier lofting removed in exchange for MITL some next major update :D Great, right?
Anyways, here are some more bs JAGM shots:
(first one is my favourite)
They aren’t getting MITL yet, just being nerfed this update.
I want to see how they perform when the missile’s logic is same for everyone :D
They removed the lofting temporarily, it’s worse now anyway with the lofting.
If you would actually be online, you’d know that MITL is for no heli munitions yet
So the screenshot above I sent is before or after the temporary removal? I’m not sure because it’s the same as before and comparing this to the Spike, JAGM, PARS 3 or any other NATO weapon is a night and day differece.
With that in mind, I wasn’t sure if they changed something last minute. The DEV server LMUR had special child lofting, as usual, and MITL. MITL was suppost the be the exchange for lofting (have to keep the selective realism somehow ¯\(ツ)/¯), that was too oppressive, they delayed the MITL but should have still removed the lofting and I see zero difference.
Also, please keep the rudeness for someone else, thanks. :D
In live it didn’t loft and instead maintained altitude, but was changed later to loft again (which made it worse)
In which way was is better? It was designed to loft and hit the roof armor and it does that right now.
It’s not. It’s designed to have a cruise altitude of 100-600m and then strike down, it’s more advanced.
The loft angle right now makes it lose lock 50% of the time while it’s flying to the target
Sure then, let’s go with the cruising. The loosing lock thing is abosulte garbage, I get hit by LMURs while in a city or behind cover, but yeah, I didn’t play it, just got killed by it 90% of the time and only watched like 5 videos about it.
Now a bit more on topic with this thread. Why did LMURs have the best lofting from release? I mean, JAGMs came out at the same time and they fly high just to go low and hit from the front, that requires special code. Not to mention the “advanced” missile logic that has 0 presence in the actual game. And also PARS 3 and Spike have been in the game for years, why did they not get lofting or anything? Well, PARS 3s got the 2 slot launcher after Gaijin required 99 sources, but speaking of sources, where exacly does it state the Mi-28NM can carry 8 LMURs, all sources state 2 mounts with 2 rockets each… wierd…
All these NATO bug reports are up since each weapon’s release with more than enough evidence piling up.
All of the above and now they remove the lofting “for balance?” just to give it MITL and perfect flight path for this purpose.
Now, I’m no expert in this field, but everything about this is selective realism, present throughout the whole game, mosty benefiting the favourite child.
Any updates?
afaik now lmur doesnt loft which just mean we aint ever getting proper lofts.
Spike in the dev server had some reasonable lofting and top-attack trajectory, I don’t know how it handles right now, but that was as close as we got having accurate lofting and impact angles trajectories for Western heli AGMs.
Every FnF munition after this patch (I presume it’s every single one of them because 2 of which I usually use were) being made into a complete garbage and I got a glimpse of why it is happening.
Just yesterday I was walking my PARS slinger and decided to follow the munition camera.
Every time my missile has missed - the same thing happened.
Missile is flying and the target is in clear view. Like you can see it right in front of the missile. Then all of the sudden - target unrenders, just becomes invisible and missile loses it.
What I think it is - is that missile’s lock is tied to a render of the user’s machine and if it unrenders for you - it does so for a missile as well.
That’s just some bs.
Like spikes never had been this bad. They were quite a dogshit before, but now it’s just beyond me.
Mind you - multiple vehicles got their br’s adjusted just because they have those. What are we gonna do now?
That… Sounds very very very dumb.
Which is why i also find it to be VERY plausible.
Right up on Gaijin’s alley in terms of awful design.
