LMUR vs JAGM Loft Angle V2

Funniest thing is that gaijin in fact modelled such behaivor for GBU-39, it performs a very shallow glide and then comes down almost vertically, even more so than LMURs on your screenshots, like at ~70+ degree angle.

So they could do what they do best - CTRL+C, CTRL+V. And yet here we are, still.

Still doing great work with these! (said no one ever…)

This needs to be fixed.

This LMUR sure does work nicely though.

if anything the JAGM lofts less now than it did when it was added

I remember dev server JAGMs lofting a lot more than they did on release, they deliberately and arbitrarily chose not to model lofting for it or any other missile in the game, not for PARS, BA-11, Hellfires, etc.

They probably did so because having 16 top-attack missiles was too “unbalanced”. Not like that has ever mattered once but here we are.

Spike ER is by far the most egregious example of an underperforming missile, it dives into the target almost top down IRL, yet in game it barely exceeds 30°.

It’s same reason why the lofting angles haven’t changed on the hellfires. Changing it’s lofting profile without changing anything else will reduce the range which forces the devs to acknowledge that it’s significantly under performing (due to drag).

I imagine if the lofting profile does get changed along with it’s flight characteristics, then it won’t be no surprise that the JAGMs will be the best agms in the game.

But hey at least they implemented the LMUR to the best of their ability.

The Devs artificially nerf the JAGM/Hellfire because it’ll be “extremely OP” if implemented correctly. So instead they introduce the LMUR correctly because it’ll only be “OP”. It gets annoying to see that Russian agms get to be the deciding factor of balance.

This one is just out of this world…

@Smin1080p_WT can someone please give an update on this bug report above? It’s been accepted and there is no way this is fair, balanced, or unbiased.
