Why does the Litening III on the Eurofighter have X-Ray Modules while the Litening III on the Gripen-E doesn’t? Better question, why does it have a module at all?
Should I bug report this?

Anyone else know if this is just present on the German Eurofighter or if this X-ray module is present on all Typhoons and/or other jets with Litening III. If you have another jet with the targeting pod please check, it would help with the bug report.

Neither British Typhoon nor the Tornado GR4 have this Tpod damage model.
I recall this being discussed before in the main Typhoon thread but I dont recall the conclusion

It’s a inconsistent aspect in-game, some pods are part of the X-ray of the airplane, others don’t and so on this happen to a lot of airplanes. I’d say that yes it’s a bug on the JAS-39E the Litening III targeting pod not being part of the X-ray model.
