Actually wait, no. I don’t think this is AERO-31, look at the Shenyang J-6. It has this bigger notch. I think China maybe just changed the pylon.

Nonetheless I think this still remains accurate to August of 1976. It only got Matras in 1979. Even if there wasn’t an integration for it, by the time it mounted Matras it had a bunch of other features, so the current config never had them.

The closest 9L threat is the F-5 event at 11.0.
A-10s are not a threat with proper flying.
Magic 1s are rear aspect only, so you just fly correctly to avoid them.
