To my remembrance the AERO lineup has converters and technical pylons. Should be for fuel tanks and inline bomb racks. Not sure of what 31 specifically is, though.

A good example of AERO is the 14 series like what the Skyraider has on the outboard wings (don’t get me started on the Skyraider I’ll never shut up….I have more info on that dang plane than someone who runs a website on it who flew the thing himself. I’m still working on stuff for that eventual post I’ll make - I’m mainly waiting on my second round of FOIA’s to come back before I finish it and throw the book at people)

31 sounds familiar but I can’t remember for the life of me what it is, I’ll try to do some digging when I can and report back if I find anything

should have 4 pylons for the aim9

The F-6C was datamined to be moving up from 9.3 to 9.7. Time for the actual implementation of the AIM-9P-2/3 on it?

Yeah I’ll report it.

Yippie.

Anyone got any pictures of it with its conformal fuel tanks. I need to see it in all its glory.

So according to what I could find, it’s the rack for Matra made for MiG’s specifically like the F-6C (explains why I’ve read about it before)

It’s just like the AERO 25.

Gonna see if I can find/acquire an image of the 31

I see I see. Thanks.

Still working on the bug report, I’m trying to find a source I’m actually allowed to use to prove that the P-2 and P-3 used the SR-116-HP-1, since I’m pretty sure that I cannot cite Т.О. GR1F-16CJ-34-1-1

Lmao no you can’t use that 😂

Yeah. I’m trying to find something unclassified that I can use to show it.

i think we already have it, this is AERO-31

while the standard rack as found on say a MiG-19PT is this

notice the notch on the underside is different

Wait crap. You’re right. Damn it’s still a hybrid. Ok so the model is from 1977, still before Matras, but it is missing the IFF transponder.

b4 we make a conclusion, id like to cross reference with real images of the standard inboard pylon on mig-19s

That’s what I thought.

I was like the notch is still there

confusion has been doubled…

maybe the model of the mig-19PT is wrong or that F-6 (chinese farmers) a slightly different pylon design
