Linux Client Hard Crashes on any explosions on Dev Server

Immediately preceding a missile exploding, the Linux dev client crashes. This would be very irritating to hit live, and one would have hoped this issue would have been validated on account of pretending to support the OS. I will attach a bug report later.

In the mean time, it would be helpful if other Linux users experiencing this crash were to report it/or document behaviours it presents.

Does test flight count? If so I am not experiencing any crashes.

Experiencing it in test flight. Have you ran into it in a live match?

Distro / Graphics Driver information would be helpful to track this down.

I haven’t done any live matches on dev. I’ll try one now and drop some bombs.

CachyOS, opensource AMD drivers. mesa 1:25.2.2-2

Wonder if bleeding edge might for once have bled me. I’m on Arch repos.

Have you shotdown aircraft with AAMs?

I’ll try that next. Bomb explosions didn’t crash it in live matches.
CachyOS basically uses Arch as a base but they have enabled some optimizations for newer processors in core packages. Not sure if that difference is what makes it not crash for me.

AAMs not affected for me either

Interesting. Presumably this is native?

Yes I am running the native version of the game if that’s what you mean. Pretty sure BEAC wouldn’t even let you play with Proton.

Last question before I write this off for the morning, when did you last update the install?

Around 45 minutes after it was available to download.

Was meaning the distro, sorry.

But yeah, testing further and I can’t track down a solution. Seems I’ve to bother writing a bug report. Which I will do, after sleeping, as it is 0520 and I should have taken a nap long ago.

Around a month and a half ago.

Same goes for me.
Both tank realistic battles and test flight.

Both proton and native versions.

I have cachyos too, but i have nvidia card. So it seems the distro is not the problem.

@apemax Help us please

Hello @Fluffy_Bucketles, @themadseventeen, @DrArzter,

I don’t see any reports for this on the CBR so could everyone affected please submit a bug report so this can be investigated?

Making sure to provide all required files and information.

Can logs of non affected machines be useful to better find the issue? I can provide mine if that would help.
