But even with the besh round you could get some hilarious interactions, like sitting behind some small cover in a town, t26e5 or something really dangerous on the other side but the jp 4-5s silhouette so small that he cant hit you. He doesnt know youre stock (and i think back then besh was the stock round-or still is?). but that was perfect because you already had the perfect round in the breech to smack the top of his head without exposing yourself and take out gunner or even the breech.
The heat also wasnt that bad, just takes way more precise aiming/waiting for easier shot opportunity and knowledge where ammo/crew on the target are. But it’s also very good for lighter vehicles.
Of course nothing beats APHE as soon as you can shoot enemies in the side, getting into a flank is something that the jp 4-5 excells at due to its mobility and small silhouette. So yeah getting that round boosts its effectiveness a lot.
Yea, the SUB is 5.3 with APDS and the Marder at 7.7 is stuck with HVAP.
On second thought, after revisiting the Mardar 1 it’s probably fine where it is.

Not every vehicle can be good. Its an infantry transporter with limited fighting capabilities. Its ok to have it ingame, but I don’t expect it to carry the match. No need to lower the BR. I don’t want to have it next to WW2 era vehicles.
What Germany needs is a decent heli for top BR. With good ATGM count, good range and DIRCM. For Luftwaffe fast moving AGMs are needed, with good HE warhead. New top tier MBT, armored like Swedish Leopards, with missile defense would help as well. Also a mechanic to switch off the Nato hump like irl.
These are the most pressing issues.

I think it’s actually pretty good at what it does on revisiting it. Map dependant really, awful in city maps but pretty good in anything with varied terrain.
Your asking for the impossible.
Why? Israel just got an uparmored Leopard. France has Leopards. Italy got them. Its far from impossible in War Thunder.
Why not something similar for Germany? Gajin just needs to select the right subtree for Ger to supplement its Gaps.

First, the heli EC is just sad, so I gave up on it. I get more in a single GRB for 7 minutes than for 40 minutes in Heli EC.
Second - PARS are just in a sad state man. They just don’t do any damage, miss out of nowhere and there’s apparently a new bug that prevent’s them from locking in in certain conditions (might affect all fnf though).
Third, turns out smsv still has it’s missiles unmodeled in a collision model, they’re ghosts.
Would it be so far fetched for gaijin to potentially add Helicopters to nations lacking them for balance, not in a research way but in a similar way to strike drones or free tanks?
Could be a decent way to fix that problem tbh, maybe have certain things unlocked like LDIRCM on a basic AH64E but have maybe a restricted missile load or something?

Yep. IR agms are really weird atm. They Sometimes dont lock onto things that are completely in the open. On the other hand they lock onto something fully behind cover with only the roof MG sticking out no problem. Or something that you cant even see, not even with thermals, fully behind soft cover. And kill it. Sometimes they just fly past the whole battlefield for no reason losing lock, next time they hit jets going 800 kph…
Hm seems like a quite convoluted way to fix a problem that shouldnt exist in the first place.
Gaijin just genuinely needs to fix LDIRCM at this point. Even if they want to keep its effectiveness against modern IR missiles then they at least need to fix the coverage cough MI28NM cough and make them work only against one missile at a time so they can reliably be overwhelmed.
And there is no “right sub tree” for Germany to fill that gap.
I know you like to have delusion inducing levels of copium, so I assume this is the moment where you are going to suggest Poland as a sub tree for Germany.

They have nothing Germany lacks. Other countries also got their gaps filled. When they lack an MBT, they get the generic Leopard added. When Germany lacks something, if should be similar. Why not. Just check other TTs, they have tech from all possible countries around the globe. Without operating them irl. Subtree magic should also be for Ger.
