If so, why would they be adding it to the ASSTA1 and not just implementing ASSTA3?

upon more research (chatgpt with references LOL) ASSTA3 was the FIRST variant able to use JDAMS.
Since everyone and their mother want to scream “but they didn’t use them” “that plane never actually had armament!” “You can’t add a UFO!” when adding a new weapon/vehicle.
But when it comes to adding something that won’t make a difference, people are okay with it?
Guess I can submit a bug report? But why would I want to do that when Germany doesn’t have ANY other JDAM vehicles?
Bug report resulting in the ASSTA3 variant? Unlikely.
bug report removing the JDAMs? Very likely. Now back to step 1.
Simply doesn’t make sense in the context of other vehicles/weapons added for other countries.
It got allready reported with sources from Panavia thenself that the ASSTA 1 cant use LJDAMs

Would be alot eazyer for the future atleast…
But maybe they plan to add also an Mod for ASSTA 3 like the Jaguar GR.1A → Jaguar GR.1B

Germanies final iteration of Tornado with full ECM, Taurus and IRIS-T will be very good.
Failing that Germany as of 2024 are procuring Brimstone for Typhoon.

Better? Maybe. But I would rather Gaijin implement a more viable platform to use JDAMs on.
The Typhoon is the answer, its just a question of when.
or the swiss F/A 18C , might come with actual stand off missles as well
Typhoons all nice, but gajin crippled it partialy with restricting Brimstones to laser guidance and will lose a lot of its potential as a result
Cool that the last 3 planes germany got are premium planes. Guess they dont add tech tree planes anymore for germany

I might actually grab it, I don’t have a CAS jet in my lineup but I heard the Tornado is a better grinder.
Gaijin once again ignored the needs of Germany’s Aviation Top Tier and opted for a copy-paste of a useless vehicle.
According to the dev server, we’re about to get an SU22M4 WTD61 as a premium vehicle. While I understand the reasoning behind saving effort and generating revenue with copy-paste additions for premium vehicles, I can’t accept the choice of a vehicle that doesn’t improve the current state.
German Aviation has long suffered from a lack of useful top-tier fighter and strike aircraft. We often hear remarks like “it’ll come in the next update,” “just wait a bit,” or “Germany has had its glory days.” However, we still lack high-quality aircraft with HMD-capable fighters, and strike aircraft with sufficient payload and fire-and-forget weapons.
Considering the effort-saving approach, Gaijin clearly has other choices:
- F15 WTD61
- TORNADO ASSTA2 (?)
- …and several others

Im still hoping, and holdin my money, for a premium Swiss F5E. Otherwise i would have to buy the Lazur. But im not fan of migs21. Between Lazur, Tornado and Su22, which is better for grind?

F-20 was never even tested with AIM-120s let alone fitted with them.
