The biggest advantage honestly is that it fires straight.
TOW dips down signficantly before you can control it so it usually just eats the dirt if the target is closer than 300m or if you are on an incline / have an obstacle in the way.
To be fair the TOW missiles should be firing straight, the amount of deviation and drop after launch the missile in game experiences is stupidly/hilariously exaggerated by the changes the developers made.
The missile should not drop as it does in game after launch, the amount of drop and deviation after launch is comical. Plenty of easy to find papers and published materials let alone the plethora of video evidence of just how little the missile deviates after launch.
I have not really browsed the new bug report forums but has anyone bothered bug reporting it ?
I like this one , i am a sucker for old archival footage . There is another video similar to this one that covers the missile being fired from ground fired platform and has some really good shots of the flight path but I am to lazy too look up the archived footage.
This one has some good slow motion footage of how little drop and deviation the missile experiences upon launch .
While the drop/dip the missile experiences in game is not as bad as it was on the initial implementation of the missile physics changes its still pretty terrible and needs improving. It feels like the missile is not being launched in game with enough force on top of there being to long of a delay between the launch motor firing and the thrust motor accelerating the missile let alone the controls surfaces kicking in to steer the missile .
Edit: I also want to point out that for some reason the missile physics in a live match behave differently then in the test drive map , go compare firing the missile in test drive and then in a live match. In a live match the physics and launch pattern of the tow is hilariously bad .
Reason for that is propably that test drive is run on ur PC and not on the server
Can we talk about the Me-262 these planes need some working on it’s Br it’s they are literally the worst jets on their Brs all jets at the same Brs have better guns better speed, better climb rates, and they are all able to out turn and out speed the 262
They’ll do it once the R2Y2 goes down, 8.0 with about the same performance
someone reported that as an issue and it was forwarded as a suggestion, so u can think that it will never be added bcs its German and not soviet, same thing with additional ammo for begleit, or it real life gunner track sight, its just sad that so many vehicles are underperforming because they are not implemented properly and getting fixed over years if fixed at all (sad ariete noises)
This really makes me mad. Vehicles are clearly suffering because they need something to be competitive, and we as the community need to prove with documents that the change is viable on a video game. The devs treat the game as a game when they want to change things for balance purpose ( like not giving the 2A7V DM73 because Russia has no counter part to it), but if it’s something that will make some vehicles strong that they dont want to make it strong ( for N reasons that are not clear to anyone besides the company) they ask for a number of documents that are usually ignored. This is just dumb.
Me a Japanese main who starts playing a bit of Germany and becomes effective at killing enemy tanks scratching my head at what people are raging about.
i find type 10 round more reliable at 1 shooting targets than DM53 tbh, and the problem as of rn is that the 2A7V armor its unreliable, and in my own experience fighting it and fighting with it, it is sadly true, numerous times the armor hasnt stopped my shell in the hull where its supossed to be highly armored and at times even penetrate the turret cheek for no reason, and when im fighting with the 2A7V it becomes more obvious when this happens

well its the same situation with the mobility of the type 10, its incorrect aswell as the armor model they just wanna fix the 2A7V

If your refering to mid tier which is late war germany->early to mid cold war. I have no say in this.
