@Smin1080p sorry for the ping, but at this point, I think you guys have some explaining to do as to how the 2A7V came to the live server with LESS armor than the 2A6 which it is a direct upgrade of in real life, and less armor than the Strv122’s, which are all over 20 years older than the 2A7V. This is beyond idiotic, particularly following the statement during the PSO fiasco. I’m aware this update was likely rushed, but considering the mess you guys have had with the handling of german top tier ground forces over the last few years, i think we are owed an explanation.
This is bordering on blatant mismodelling and outright contempt for german vehicles and german players at this point, and amounts to outright spitting in our faces after telling us to wait for a new leopard.
The MiG-23MLA getting downgraded RWR is a slap to the face. No launch indication nor PD indication and a 50 degree sector that the missile could be in? Good luck notching effectively! Now the MLA is not only worse in manueverability than the MLD at the same BR but also far worse in survivability!
The A7 still fires DM53? The whole point of the new high pressure gun L55A1 was to use the new DM73 and DM83 shells. DM83 still not fully adopted, but DM73 is the current service round and should get 10% more pen than DM53.
Also the armor values are too low. Speed @Bundeswehr page should be 63 km/h. Its also said it got a new transmission for better acceleration. Nothing from all this is ingame.
You telling me after all of this we didn’t get the armour we didn’t get the unique shell that the new gun offers and all we got is a 2A6 with fancy thermals
Now tell me that the armor it “has” is better
2a6 bounces? and kills breach = you survive + you can just drive away
2a7v driver engine ammo radiator= do i need to explain what happens in the next 6-7.1 seconds ?
It is a bit annoying that 2A7V is only as armored as T-80BVM instead of as armored as T-90M.
It’s not even as armoured as the BVM?? The hull is significantly weaker, the beak doesn’t offer near the same protection, new internal composite is missing, the Duel Add-On plate makes the upper plate weaker than it is on the 2A6 lmao.
You literally trade one weak area (beak on the 2A6) for another (UFP on the 2A7V), while also being less mobile (because Gaijin didn’t bother to make it accelerate as fast as a 2A4, even though it should be), but also added new armour holes to it, and made the turret weaker against CE munitions.
The only benefits it brings over the 2A6 are hull spall liners, and 3rd generation thermals.
A single tiny ricochet spot doesn’t outweigh a massive upgrade in armor everywhere else. Plus, you’re looking at DM53 at 500m. At more reasonable ranges shells you’ll fight will have a much harder time getting through. Look at 3BM60 for example.
