Exactly. I’d still like the domestic Swiss, Austrian, and Dutch vehicles to go to Germany as a subtree, mostly because it makes sense to me. The Swiss and Austrians outright speak German, and if you asked 60-70 years ago people would’ve been pretty divided on just how far the Dutch language was from being a dialect of German. Frankly, an argument could be made for Belgian stuff going to Germany too, but that’s a lot more contentious and nebulous.
That said, if the Swiss have a fully French vehicle, I wouldn’t want Germany to get that in the Swiss subtree, because it’s still French, so France should get it (assuming they don’t already have it, or that it’s a different version of what they do have). Similarly, I don’t want France to get a fully German Leopard 2 just because it’s in a Dutch or Belgian tree.
As a further addendum though, if one of these countries has an almost entirely identical vehicle to Germany, like what @_Renzo described with the Dutch Leopards, then it very well may be preferable to have it added as a skin rather than a duplicate vehicle.
Never gonna happen mate ,they realised they can get away with CnP heavy, theres still loads of leopard 1 variants, Chieftain, centurion, T95 (American “medium”) , M60 , T55 etc variants never gonna see the light of day.
Its a shame as well isnt it, like britain doesnt have a TT centurion, (not counting olifant) that can go over 35kmph xD
Just more Cr2s ,more leopards, more T80s / t90s etc etc etc xD
Well it’s a comprehensive upgrade, you’ll just have to accept that IRL it was only really worth increasing the mobility of the Centurion if you were to improve the armament and FCS while you’re at it.
I mean as in a british tank, olifant is SA, and while in the british tree, it is infact not the same as say, centurion mk11, 12 or 13.
Personally believe the olifant MK1 should be 8.7 for what it is but not the topic.
Germany still has a decent amount of non swiss and non hungarian kf41 to add. Air needs the swiss. Naval regardless of popularity is basically over for germany, theyve got 1 more light cruiser to add, 2 more pre ww2 battleships, and 3 ww2 battleships, the bismark class and one H class project.
Russia and sweden have more prototype ifvs than germany but germany has a pretty substantial amount.
TBF Germany could get export vehicles that didn’t win. I hope gaijin does that because stuff like the redback would be cool to see. Considering it didn’t win the trials for AU new wheeled IFV it would be better on Germany than with the UK, now had it won the contest and had AU been a subtree for the UK. It would be a different story
My opinion is that nonspecific exports should go to the parent nation. An export could be a failure but if it was designed entirely for one nation then it mind as well go to them as a premium/squadron/event vehicle.
just that australia isnt part of the game in the first place as a nation<
besides that the KF41 isnt entirely designed for australia, its a standard export with some features modified for australia
As Shini said, AU isn’t a nation specific subtree, and given if the Brits had it their way they’d have every subtree to themselves. We don’t need that, i think your logic makes sense as a passive idea but in the scheme of things but some nations literally export more than they use themselves which means you can have a nation get multiple nation specific vehicles because while they didn’t choose them they tested them. I think that itself is a good enough reason not to add them like that. Now joint venture designs are a different story. Begleit, Trinity, DF105, MBT-70 ect should just go to both nations within reason.
I think if its gonna be argued it should go to the nation it was trying to be sold too then it should go to both the parent and export nation. Kf41 shouod be on germany and Hungary and its a joke that its not.
