Cause anything Israel sadly gets taken down, I watch any new thread get reverted back to the echo chambers of the main threads. I find it highly hypocritical that they don’t listen to factual information about certain nation’s capabilities and shut you down but will accept info on a missile that was never built (ifykyk by now)

You can tell I don’t post on these topics usually because while I love the Merkava tank, my armor knowledge is little and I won’t speak on matters I don’t have knowledge on.

You don’t need to know about armor, to know something isn’t working right…
Basically none in here has any idea what modern tanks are capable of, not even the engineers who design this stuff are 100%.
I read a lot about american main yelling about “but ma DU armorrrrrr” like it some adamantine or something.
Or like Israeli main talking about SLERA, yea we started saying it’s SLERA after we saw a commercialy available patent of RAFAEL talking about composites and explosives, and we saw writing on the armor with “caution explosives”.
But we still have no idea what it is capable of…
What we do know is purpose, means and intent :

We know that USA has money ? Enemies? Yes, purpose : balanced mbt, It’s war is far away ? Then abrams should be heavily armored in the front (should stop to high degree all apfsds from the front. You can call it DU, you can call it Abs magic mix, I don’t care)
Germany : money ? Yes, enemies ? Maybe ?, purpose balanced mbt. The leo should be similar to abrams with lesser degree of armor because they invest less money, and has no real nation threat.
Israel : money ? Yes, enemies ? Yes, purpose of the tank : increased survivability (means sacrifices fire power and mobility). Merkava should be the most heavily armored tank, with frontal armor needs to at least be able to withstand what the egyptians abrams are shooting, with other stats suffering.
USSR: money ? No, enemies ? Depends who you ask, purpose : soviet style mbt.
Russia in real life does not have the means nor more importantly reason or drive to actually make good working weapons, their heart is just not in it, their technology level is basically 20 years old.
In game they can continue to have magic armor so they can participate in top tier.

Someone knows if they will finally fix the front turret armor parts of the Merkava Mk.3 ?
There is no composite and the turret spall like it’s 1 meter armor and kill all crew while they seat far below the top of the turret if hull down.
