Let Me Choose What I Want : Battle Pass Trophy

I think it’s very predatory to not let players choose what they want from the season battle trophy, console account holders like myself don’t have access to the marketplace and the only way for people like us to receive past season vehicles is through the battle trophy.

Chance and RNG will be the cancer of War Thunder including gambling and others, War Thunder has progressively become more of a monetary game and certain player bases like console account holders suffer from this the most. We already don’t have access to the marketplace and leaving wanted vehicles behind either a paywall or RNG is experience destroying.

We’ve also progressively lost more and more rewards from the battle pass and making it so we can choose vehicles from the battle trophy alone shouldn’t be something major to ask for, vehicles continue to be cheaped out on (like the T-44 (FM)) and many corners continue to be cut.

So like said above, I’d like to bring the idea of being able to choose what vehicle you want from the battle trophy onto the table, I’ll list how it’d function and more below.

  • When you unlock tier 38 of the battle pass you’ll be given the option to select one of the four vehicles from the crate, once you select one of your choice you’ll be rewarded with said vehicle and the crate will close

  • If you have all vehicles already unlocked prior to opening the crate then you’ll be given the choice to pick from a random reward (small amount of GE, large amount of SL or GE/SL battle wager)

  • As a setback for being able to select whatever vehicle you want, you wont be able to unlock or receive other vehicles in said crate for at least 2 to 4 seasons, that still wouldn’t prohibit you from selecting whatever vehicle other than those vehicle in said crate in a following season of a battle pass

When I refer to battle trophy I mean the one which contains vehicles, not the standard one lol

Additionally, this should be a benefit to all players regardless of platform, this will just help console players a bit more who compared to PC accounts are significantly more restricted.

I really wanted to have LVT-4/40 since I forgot to buy that battle pass in the last trophy.
But all I got was a lame Kirov-class cruiser, which I disliked in my WOWS days.
(I might not argue if that came with ‘premium’ status, but it is ‘gift vehicle’ which I need to grind stock while I need to face BB with it.)

And I think I might be mad if I miss Tandem MAI because of USS detroit :/

I do agree. As a console player i wish i could access the marketplace I’d rather spend $70 bucks there instead of the stupid premium packs. And also if i want a chance to get an event vehicle I have to grind and slave away or pay 7,000-12,000 GE to get it. If I don’t well “that sucks should’ve grinded.”
