Cant say that been shooting the leos dead center lately in m1a2 sepv2 just to take out driver and commander and maybe a fuel tank and instantly i get killed in 1 shot. Been doing it over and over in the last few days ive got about 20 deaths in it jn the same scenario every time shoot the lower plate it kills 1 or 2 crew maybe disableing the engine and literally i get 1 shoted in response. Of course i could take the breach but its so tiny on the leo and if the guy wiggles at all im dead from that. The leo is by far the best tank in the game right now in terms of everything. Yet they gave abrams some diner plates on it sides with 5mm of extra protection lol the v2 is literally the same vehicle with 5mm of extra armor
Been having no issues knocking out Leo 2s in the usual weakspots, also, Germany has one single armored Leo 2, the 2a7v, this is a problem how?

So you’ve enjoyed using the most OP tank in game for a while, let another nation have a turn lol, BVM win rates were worse than 75% at one point in time too

Leopard 2s at the moment are literal skill checkers.
And i mean it for me Leopard 2A7V and Strv122 are just best example how hull armor should work strong UFP weak LFP just like Russian tanks what to crying about if not skills issue.

I can’t put an update on the original post idk why can’t edit it but just wanted to clarify, I don’t think leo spall liners is the issue. Leos are OP right now by what that modern tank has and how it affects balance, but my original post was that I thought it was the spall liners in the leos that were op but it was a bug regarding low frag after pen. So its a diffrent subject really.
I think leos strength is the step top tier is moving. i believe other vehicles need to start implementing their mechanics for armor like US tanks, they need a buff. Leos are op rn but if other nations follow on the buffs it will all go together.
FYI, 2A7V isn’t even at its peak of strenght right now. It’s lacking a lot of armour it should have, and has several armour holes that shouldn’t exist :P

I play Russian and German and I see how much Russian players take advantage of the bias, but it needs to be balanced on both sides. even though leopards are better than Russian tanks in real life

yeah just like the PUMA. i doubt the Leopard 2a7v’s gonna be fixed real soon. it’s gaijin afterall. they rather beat around the bush than fix the tanks

I think people are forgetting that spall liners when announced were ONLY SUPPOSED TO GO ON ONE TANK: THE T-90M.
On the development server the T-90M was introduced with a spall liner. No other tank had one, including the Leo. On Reddit and here people went nuts and started filing bug reports about spall liners. Gaijin not knowing how to get out of this mess, as spall liners have been brought up in the past but always denied until they want to introduce it for the T-90M, were trying to sneak it through quickly and quietly. Which is why it hit the development server in a later patch, which was 3 days away from the patch going live.
So Gaijin caved and added spall liners to SOME tanks as a caveat not realizing how powerful it would make some tanks because they never intended them to have them…like the Leo. So now you have a tank that was made to be played without a spall liner and buffed as such, all of a sudden with a spall liner. Which makes it really good.
The only tank that was supposed to be that good was the T-90M. Thats why all the Russian players are pissed. The other players are pissed at the blatant double standard.
Gaijin has managed to piss off everyone with this one mechanic when it was supposed to benefit Russians and only Russians. To Say this is embarrassing is an understatement.
